Tailgate panel market is over saturated now. Cargo panels is the untapped market.
I like the por-15 covered steel, as good as rust proof in my book. Are the edges painted too?
This product is an excellent idea. My 93 (aka basket case) has deterioration of the lower panels where the clips won't hold. I need to either decide to patch or buy a used panel. The cheap part of me says, I can buy a good condition used panel for a lot less (even re-covered) but the practical side says, the panel will last a long time. Need to figure out what to do.
Aluminum has not been completely ruled out.Is aluminum an option? Lightweight and won't rust. Will you sell just the panel by itself?
You mention that it has mass load vinyl, is that for soundproofing / acoustics?
anyway a fellow mudder from Sudan can get the CAD file.???...with a promise not to distribute....cargo alone would cost way much than the panel itself.....i actually just started TRYING to get mine drawn up.
Steel rusts...Cardboard doesn't.
Sometimes I wonder if you ever think before you type. With that logic we should all be building our cars out of cardboard.
