Can somebody make these for the 80?

What about just loosely around the hood/fender gap like in these here?

That's exactly what I had in mind also, until I looked at my cruiser, and was reminded that we have a different hood style with a metal induction cowl that isn't recessed, but is flush with the hood. There are three nearly 90° bends to go from the engine compartment to the exterior via the rear of our hoods.

The only viable option that I see currently would be to run the wire through the cowl via the wiper arm cut out. It's not one I'm find of, but it is an option that would eliminate a need to cut.

I'll revisit this matter later.

Ah that's right. My truck's at home so I can't go out to check...could the wire be routed through the fender by removing a few bolts, then back into the engine bay?

Short answer, not without drilling.

I have no issue with drilling a small hole or two, not sure what everybody else thinks...

How would you feel about notching? Because I can potentially make a much more aesthetically pleasing design with customers that are willing to cut. It should make installation simpler as well.

I will continue to ponder as time permits, but the most important question currently is "would you be willing to notch your cowl?"

I have no issues with that either.

Cut to fit, paint to match!

I was thinking cut to fit, trim to finish!

I would prefer to not cut the cowl but would consider it. And all that's needed really is two wires. I was just looking at how the could be routed that wouldn't pinch. I'll take a photo in a few minute. Gotta make my daughter a grilled cheese real quick.

I would not notch the cowl myself.

I figured there would be more unwilling, than willing, but I thought I'd give this a chance. It won't be nearly as invasive as the installation of the style shown in the o.p..

For wires you could do something like this. Mind you I only ran one for show. It took about 45 seconds to do.

You're brilliant!

That's good routing for the wires and one shouldn't need larger gauge wire than what was pictured if running LEDs.
