Wonder how many needles I'm gonna break! Hehe
I would sandwich the fabric as mentioned above and use some fabric adhesive sheet (the iron on kind) to hold it together before attempting to sew

Also, two rows of stitching would be better to hold in the mosquito netting, that or a zig-zag pattern if your machine does that.

I've got the basic one. Still seems to have reinforced anchor points :meh:
Mine are reinforced as well but Sean's are double stitched and mine are single stitched. There were some interesting design changes between the two.

In case any of you vertically-nonchallenged people (@lt1fire I'm looking at you) need a cot, this is an option and is USA made.

only holds 300lbs though, those are rookie numbers, need to get those numbers up

Genius! just a big tarp.

This worked out great, the Audew Multi Function Jump Starter. I have been carrying a NOCO GB40 for 5 years, worked great in the past, but knew it would be toward end of life. So got the Audew on Friday, charged it, threw it in my truck as I am getting ready for long trip to the desert. Saturday morning, F550 diesel truck was parked on the obstacle course for the 4WD class. Not a problem, as I assessed I would not use the hill where it was parked based on the stock suburban, f1-fiddy, old 4runner that where part of the class. Found out later the battery on the F550 was dead, someone had tried to move it but it woldnt start. By then, lunchtime, Andrew was there and they were trying to start the big diesel, but parked in a difficult to get place with the jumper cables. I mentioned to Andrew I just got this charger, really no bigger than a thick letter envelop, and we decided to try it. VROOOM went the diesel, I was amazed. And I got to drive the beast off the hill, twice the fun!
So, strongly recommend this unit for jump starting. After starting the diesel, it was down to 90%, not bad....check out the video testing.

So looks like this thread hasn't seen much action lately. did no one go camping this year?

I just bolted on a new Napa Maxi Trac awning (basically an ARB rip off). And then I found the FB support group
Seems that the construction is not entirely up to snuff and the members in that group have posted alternative ways to beef up the factory rivets and such.
My first impressions are that it's damn near identical to the ARB in design - same extrusions, similar hinge brackets (albeit aluminum instead of ABS) and the canvas seems very similar too. The outrigger legs don't have the ground pins or rope loops on the feet, but if you properly guy-rope it, I don't see it being a problem.

Not bad for $100.
