The one thing keeping me from replacing my current stove with an Everest is that stupid metal tube. This might have just sealed the deal.
Yep, I never did like that pipe.
I found out about the hose online somewhere, cannot remember, but I sure like it.

That hose looks like the one on my Brunton stove.

I purchased an Everest stove when it was first released because of the high BTU output but returned it. The build quality was junk and the metal was really flimsy. Maybe they've improved over the last seven years or so. Lately, I've just been bringing my iwatani 35fw stove unless I'm snow/cold weather camping. Then it's the coleman 13G/25F along with a propane converter for backup. Those, along with an MSR Reactor for water boiling duty and I'm set. Yet, I still have a stack of other camping stoves in storage..........

I have the discontinued Denali which had a small grill between the two burners, and I used it with a hose that screwed onto their metal pipe to let you use a big bulk tank.
I am now using the one lb. bottles to save space in my rig, and I did away with that metal pipe all together, and went with this hose which I like better, it just screws in better.
My stoves sits on top of my checkbox, and the hose works better than that pipe hanging off the side too.
Stansport 30-Inch Hose with Regular Appliance to 1-Pound Cylinder

Also got one of these for the small bottles.
Sorry, cannot undo these big letters.

Yeah that pipe does require herculean finger strength to get tightened on. I also sometimes worry it might snap off one day! Will be ordering that hose soon. Thanks for the tip.
