Little bit of ARB tech:

Their latest implementation of seals uses viton x-profiles on the carrier seal pair, and a similar design on the bonded internal seal. In practice, these seals don't have a lot of tolerance before they bleed air. (If they lose ~0.010" theyre puking oil out the air line. Improved machined surface tols would likely help this).

My bonded seal developed a bubble/blister on both inner and outer seals, somehow. That blister spread the seals lands and locally pulled them back ~0.008. This led to the compressor running endlessly intermittently. The locker itself remained functional.

$40 in parts fixed the system. An annoyance, sure. But I'm still a fan of the ARB mechanism.

How deep does one have to go to replace that seal ?
I know it’s pretty common for that seal to leak.

Diff has to come out and be opened. I mean, its deep, but none of it is difficult.

Difficult is a relative term.
You’re quite the handy guy and posses a lot more talent than most😎

The bonded seal meaning the one inside the carrier, correct? That one is a pain to change.

One and the same. Maybe I'm understating the whole pull-the-ring-gear thing.

Eh, you said it's not difficult, and I completely agree. It's just deep, and therefore a pain for a, what, $25 seal? I had to change the bonded seal in the front on moonshine once. Pain, but easy enough.

Changed the driving lights to some combination lens Baja Designs. The Lightforce units put out excellent light at a good distance but in slow stuff I always wanted for more light up close. And I'm not trying to have multiple pods scattered like a U4 rig. Will share some lighting pattern reviews in due time.
