I guess we'll see what number they come up with. I'm almost positive they will be low they are after all in the business of making money.

BTW, $7500 was the exact same amount Toyota offered the other guy for his 60 that I posted above.

So that appears to be the going rate.

Just need to find some 60 series for sale for under 7k, with the old tank, and start a business selling them back to Toyota for $7.5.... (yeah right)

I just checked my VIN and it has not had the recall performed.

1986 60

I would feel horrible about sending to the crusher.

Well I finally got around to getting over to the Toyota dealer today and inquired about having the tank replacement recall performed on my '86 60.
They confirmed the recall was not performed on my vehicle, service rep said they would have to order the parts and they called someone at Toyota corporate to get the ball rolling. They confirmed the tanks were available still from Toyota.
About 3 hours later they called me back and said Toyota Corporate said they are no longer performing the tank replacement because the recall is too old.
She gave me a number to Toyota Corporate to call if I had any questions.

Hmmm, I know I need this done, my tank builds crazy pressure in the summertime heat.
