Thanks jack! I love the photo's of your truck in action. You live in a great place and you are embodying what guys dream of doing with thier cruisers.

It's bumpy still. I have some dollying to do. This seems to be a hard way to do it. I couldn't think of any better way. I can roll the corner, but how do I flange the bottom without an English wheel? Need some advise. Thanks!!

Just purchased a 64 LV, This is exactly the problem area on rear quarters that I will have to address sometime in the future. Thanks for showing me it can be done...not by me but it can be done!!!

How are you making the long ribs in your replacement pieces? (or did I miss that part?)

Mark, I recieved a piece of door to cut up with the truck. Then I put the pieces in my blast cabinet.

Wow, I was wondering if anyone was reading this thread. Thanks for all the compliments! I am just trying to learn as I go. I checked out some YouTube and just started going. Once you get your welder set up right it's just a little practice. You really don't need much. I have 500 dollar used mig welder, and a bunch of harbor freight tools and air compressor. A vise with some angle iron jammed in it can do a lot of straight bends. You could do the curve with a piece of 3" or 4" pipe. As far as time, a couple hours at night a few nights a week. Then, it's just amounts to how far you want to take the refurbishment. A decent garage helps, but the Wilma build was done with less of a shop. A side note, Eastwood, Home Depot and lowes have some stuff too. Thanks again!
