Front bumper is in good shape. The rear is complete, but needs a little bending.

DS & PS lower rear quarter panels from Australia.

bosshog and mrs. bosshog stopped by today, so we put him to work. he learned how to get the front axle out from under the 78 and he conquered it.

meantime, pighead went to town with the plasma and drill and modified the firewall to accept a brake booster.

pighead's still fighting a brace in permanently mounting the booster, which is holding us from stabbing powertrain...oh, yeah, that and the monsoon and hail storm that's been happening for a little over an hour.:frown:

Good Job, you guys! I would love to have a team, on mine.

Boss, looking like you're having too much fun.

Miss Nuclearlemon, I am very jealous of your driveway. Mine's rock.

I was having a blast! It's been a long time since I've been that dirty...

I like the learning part. Ige told me to get a seal puller and I felt like I was 5 again helping my Dad. She would show me how to do it on one side, & I would do the other.

Meanwhile, Pighead hands me some 1000 grit sandpiper & the next thing you know I'm feeling like Daniel-san as I make small circles with my hand saying "primer off".

The paint beneath the primer was GORGEOUS. I couldn't understand why anyone would ever paint over it. As I moved further down the door, I saw the bondo...

Ige & Pighead,

Those bench seats in the blue Pig: what year are they from (if you know)? If you don't know that, what year is the Pig itself? I have a bead on $OR seat kits that are year specific...

On another note, the '69 Pig's gender identity issues have been worked out. I was looking at this guy this morning

and how as he gets older, he's getting cranky and suspect of any activity not involving bacon. For whatever reason, he reminded me of the '69. Henceforth, the '69 will now be referred to as Ol Roy!

one step backwards two steps forwards

after pighead busted his ass to get the booster in, we fought all afternoon with getting engine in past it...they will not fit together. booster out, engine/trans/xfer in. i'm getting ready to put an 80 series one in the pickle, so we're going to pull the 60 series booster and see if it will fit. being smaller, it should clear (fingers crossed). also got some rustbullet sprayed over the rusty section of the inner fender. thinking i should've sprayed the whole thing, it looks so good (except for the one huge run ;))

Do you guys need those frame horns for the front bumper?

I owe Delancy some...

Minor mods. Some mini boosters have an aluminum spacer that I grind in a couple of places to clear the ribs in the firewall. If I recall correctly holes need to be drilled in the firewall for the 4 booster studs. With careful placement, the hole drilling isn't too bad, just kinda tough working under the dash and steering column area.
The mini truck booster is one of the smaller units.
I think I have read about using Geo boosters (they are small) but have no personal knowledge on them.

I don't think my corners are what you're looking for. Just got a new phone, so I don't have any pics on it yet. I'll get you some...

Back in the day, it was wherever was convenient...Friday builds was different from Monday builds.
