Just a minor setback, means replacing the late intake manifold with an earlier '68-74, which we have a couple floating around here, one with a fluid heat-riser already installed. Putting an earlier carb on it, which we have one or two on the bench. Finding a skinny Toyota booster, which I found at the Pick & pull, but couldn't pull without a deep 12mm socket, which was not in my pocket at the time, but will be tomorrow. And the early 80 series non-ABS master, which I got from C.Dan when I was doing rear discs but never needed...still in the original box, somewhere in the garage. Gives me a chance to replace that leaky exhaust gasket, which I really should have done when the engine was out.

Pighead says he doesn't deserve them - its inconsistent with the theme of road rash on Twrecks....

How does $50 plus shipping sound?

Note: there is a front stud missing on one and a rear stud missing on the other. Send me a pm & lemme know.

Ige, PigH,

What are you guys spray the rust bullet with? HVLP gun? what tip size?

I have some RB I need to spray pretty soon.

Edit: Do you guys even have just a s***ty turn signal you could part with. I just need one to get me by for awhile.

Thanks for all of the above..

Who'd have ever thunk that, even of a long ago Toyota?

Toyota copied a lot of stuff from other auto makers (surprise!) even the British...
And the British would use whatever was on the shelf at the time.
(On my '52 MG, there was some argument, amongst the restorationistas, about the correct color of the idiot light lenses on the dash...turns out, the factory workers just used whatever was available, if they were out of red lenses, they used green lenses)

HPLV gun with the 1.8mm nozzle seems to work for the rust bullet.
We do not have even a s***ty turn signal...have plenty of lenses, no housings or 55 fender mounts. Need one.

when we did annie, i brushed it on with a foam brush and that worked well. the automotive (silver) rustbullet is very workable, but when it came to the rims, i said f that. my original paint gun was a .8 and it wouldn't spray worth a crap. even tried thinning and it just plugged up the gun. used a 1.8 and it went on beautifully. rb recommends 1.7

I've been so busy getting ready for annual inventory at work, I haven't had an opportunity to read my own build thread, much less stop by & turn a wrench.

I got home on Monday night and my new Bobm-produced front & rear floors had arrived! Additionally, my new headrests arrived as well! My shackle bushings will be in tomorrow.

Anyone know a good body shop in/around Denver that works with old steel? I'm having a heck of a time finding anyone that's reasonably priced, & the metal on this fender is too nice to throw away...

I found a CL listing not long ago, of a Cruiser specialty shop somewhere outside of Denver.

No one I asked about had heard of them, but will find the info and edit with shortly.

Edited: for what it's worth.

I had found in a CL perusal, asked the 'Sty about and they'd not heard of.

did you find a name of the shop? we've seen the ads on cl which don't list a name. it's down south somewhere, so not denver area, most likely colo springs, but not redlines shop.

pighead got booster today and we were hoping we'd see how it fit, but spent the evening at alameda east vet hospital where our buddy chip took his last breaths :( hopefully we can get back to it tomorrow
