Progress...

Driverside fender is now bolted enough that 1) I don't have to hold it on as in pic#1 above. 2) it now supports itself AND a 12 ounce can of beer...as it was designed to do.

Had a heck of a time getting the '78 fender & apron to fit the '69...took the fender & apron off again, pounded it into submission, re-attached it.

Tried bolting the hood on last night, trailing edge of the hood scraped on the vent part...hood hinges appeared bent. Took the hood hinges off the '78, put them on the '69 (harder than it sounds) now it works fine.
Manifold studs arrived today. Cleaned everything, coppercoated everything, intake manifold and header bolted on. Gasket too...

yeah the 77 fenders gave me alot of s*** going onto the 73....I think there is a slight difference somehow in the tubs...

Carb, accelerator cable, speedo cable, and regulator are on the way, via UPS, as of now.

Sweet. Your bumper is still in our living room...the box you sent us is too short, we're having to modify it (the box, not the bumper).

Got the hood latch to work. Learned a lot about how to adjust hood latches, everything was bent on this one...straightened it a bit here & there, re-bent some things. They're actually very adjustable. now it closes securely and even opens from the inside. Missing a pair of the rubber bumpers that screw to the fender aprons that the hood sits on when closed. Hope to dig up a couple from the stash.

Arrived intact. Thank you. We were sorta expecting a voltage regulator. Imagine our surprise to find the external oil pressure regulator...good looking carb though.

I was thinking about just a skull...something along these lines...

Yup, from the smogged Pig...

the last weeks weather has really been a show stopper. all we've managed to do since last weekend, was fill the engine oil, fill coolant, find a huge hole in one copper heater pipe, drain coolant, replace line, fill coolant again, find a crack in the other copper heater line, drain coolant, replace that line, fill coolant again, install new voltage regulator, find it didn't come with two screws, pull two from carcass of old one, find they don't fit, pull new voltage regulator, tap screw holes, reinstall new voltage regulator, cut holes in trans tunnel for shifters, install door panels.

sorry bosshog, i know you loved the wood paneling, but wednesday, assuming the trash will be on normal cycle, not some sort of emergency flash flood, late schedule, they'll be gone...all your doors now look like this
