Can we come in the Go-Cart???

I've always liked Lotus. Is that "toy" turbocharged.
There were quite a few at the Scottish Games at Furman last year.
They were the featured Marque.

Ever since I saw one at Cherrydale several years ago I've been horning for a Lotus Elise.
Then I went to the London Auto Show three summers back and visited their display. The Elan is bigger but I'm still for the Elise. Before they shut down I was going to the Formula One race at Indy. They have a deal where car clubs get to park on the unused back straight. There were a lot of Elise's there. They looked more fun than anything else there.
I could buy those tickets at Indy through BMW. There we were parking an X5 among all the Porches and Cobras and Ferraris and Astons etc etc etc. Talk about a brown shoe with a tuxedo!

And now I see they have a supercharged version Elise. Oh my! Maybe I'll work an extra year and buy one for Europe.

Yeah, I like the look, and the performance but daily practicality that the Lexus ISF brings.

Nothing like starting up and sounding like corvette then idling down like a luxury car...unless you punch it.

Now that would be a nice addition to the ride!

I have heard that the WOT sound of the V8 in that ISF is awesome! Only kicker is the maintenance, the M3 comes with 50,000 mile maintenance.

I hear the front brakes on the ISF is over $1000. But I guess if you can pay $70,000 for a car, $2000 a year maint. is nothing.

Been thinking about the trip. Day trip. #11 to Riverfalls Road to Devils Fork to Gap Creek Road
to 25 to Hendersonville. Do lunch. On to Brevard for some shopping etc then down #276 back to #11.
Back before dinner time.
Say March sometime. Depending on weather.
Thoughts?

End of April is Walter Mitty Days at Road Atlanta. I'm just saying...
Weather permitting...meaning dry....I plan on taking Screamin' Mimi down
there and check out the scene. I have a friend working there. Hap of
Acme Speed Shop in G'Vegas.
Sooooo...end of April is out for the mountain parade lap. Everybody
welcome to Wang Chung with us at WMD at Hot 'Lanta however.

NOTE: If we manage to corral 20...that's TWENTY cars to hang out
at Road Atlanta for the WMDs I think we all get FREE track lap AND
a parking area and canopy. 20 is a lot of cars. Just saying. I'd try
pull a few not Cruiserheads to help fill the bucket.
:)

ANYWAY,

Flipping the LBC calendar...right on past the Bug in front of the Cabin
Feb. pic...;)

It looks like April 16th weekend ( after tax) or the 23rd weekend (St. Georges Day).
16 works better, right now, for me. Weather permitting.

Somebody pull a trigger.

16th works for me...23rd, I am camping with the scouts.
Also the 30th works.

i am out week of 2 March as I will be in Boone recruiting soon to graduate young minds....
