Been trying to figure out what the blower motor is/does behind the drivers side head light. The box its contained in is missing the lid so the blower is exposed. I cant find it in the service manual. Really hate to post a thread for something you would think would be easy to diagnose but I've been staring at it for a day and still can't figure it out! THANK YOU!

Intake cooling fan comes on for a fixed Amount of time when ignition is turned off to prevent fuel vaporizing.
Good Lord thank you inkpot. Ive been reading the manual all morning and still couldnt figure it out.

I don't remember seeing anything like that in my engine bay

Ill take a picture. Its a box right behind the drivers headlight. On my rig someone took the top off, so the motor is exposed. You would swear its a heater/ac blower assist or something. Never seen a fan like that in use for other applications. Im guessing it goes bye bye after a desmog. But I havent seen it mentioned in the desmog write ups? Couldnt find it in the manuals, but probably wasnt looking in the correct location. Additionally, it doesnt appear to be connected to anything, but I havent pulled it off to see underneath. Guessing the cover had a hose to somewhere? I am very greatful for getting an answer though. It was driving me nuts. And I have had a hint of gas fumes after I shut down. Guessing thats why.

it is to cool of intake manifold since EGR puts to much heat in the manifold
just remove all that jung EGR,air pump and rest junk and plug all holes your fuel milage will go up and manifold will run cooler
Word. Studied the desmog thanks to you helpful folks. And thank you for yalls input.
