Well, I'm definitely down for hanging out! And who doesn't love picking on Marshall?!?! Is there an address where everyone meets? I must admit that I might have overlooked the meeting site… Maybe I'm overcomplicating this?
 
Lol you are. Campsite is at the very end of the trail. 1st come 1st serve. I don't think we have ever not had enough room though.

Better have a set meeting time if your driving up on Saturday. Several years we ended up with two groups and we never met up.

If you can make it on Friday and don't mind freezing your tail off while possibly sitting inside your truck if the wind is as bad as it has been my few times out then try to make it.
 
When you say that the campsite is at the end if the trail, do you mean the trail that starts at the gate at the parking lot at the end if the black balsam access road near milepost 420 off the blue ridge parkway?
 
Yes its like another three miles to the end of the trail. Opens up to a clearing or "bald". Very nice views but wind is definitely a factor. You will need winter gear for this trip.
 
I'm planning to come up Friday. Any one want to caravan up together? I'll be leaving from Travelers Rest, so most of you will be coming by my place anyway.
 
Pending the time I could meet you somewhere in Brevard and head up. I am coming from Pickens.
 
Sounds good. I have no time frame. If anyone if coming through on 276 or highway 25 that day they could meet up with me at my place before heading up to Brevard.
 
If I scratch thursday then I'll ride up. I want to leave early though.

Also I have secured us a camping place on private land just down the hill about 8 miles away. It borders Pisgah. I might stay there Thursday night. We will see what the forecast is as we get closer to next weekend.

I can leave early on Friday no problem. I have the whole day off work and plan to pack up Thursday night. Been trying to dry my interior out and fix a few things after the ACC event at Golden Mountain. Got everything nailed down now except a bent front sway bar. That place is nasty when wet. Crushed my right rear bumper too. Had to use a big pry bar to get it down to be able to open the tailgate. Still rubbing though.

Gabe, perhaps I'm a little premature... I've been told that before... But do you know if they've opened back up?
 
Have not called. May try to do that today before work.
