There is just something totally different about this picture.

I also moved the Parking Brake. Just put a cover on the old location

I am in paint jail now. Not much I can do until the paint guy gets off his duff to come and get it

Dropped the 74 off at paint on Wednesday. I ended up changing paint guys to my old reliable guy in South Dakota. 200 mile haul . A guy I have known for years. He does a great job, and had time to work it in. Planning on picking up in 6 weeks.

WOW!! I am in absolute awe of this build. The attention to detail is unbelievable. I cant even began to imagine the time spent working on it, not to mention all of the time spent planning and researching. I am guessing your wife gets that glazed over look in her eyes by now whenever you talk about it? You best be taking her on a holiday when its all over, lol.

Thank you for the kind words.

Vacation to the Black Hills of SD in 5 weeks! Plan on picking up the painted body then. I really thought about taking the 40 out there, but I'm sure someone would steal it when we are in some attraction. So we are going to rent a 4 seater ATV for a day and go trail riding and fishing with the grandkids

Well, something you never expect to happen. A paint and body man that is ahead of schedule.:clap:

Got these pics via text today. I took it to him all together, and he took it apart, because he said it was easier to work on. Just assembly and color sanding left.

This is the third vehicle I have had him paint, and I have not been disappointed. He really cares about what he puts out.

I am keeping the FRP top the original color. I am looking for material to do the headliner. Once that is done, then I can get it painted

The Body man is teasing me

That engine is a work of art ....... and the rest ain't bad either. :)

Thanks Guys. I always pay particular attention to the small details. I would rather spend 3 hours making it right than 10 minutes just making it work. That is why I couldn't do it for a living. I would only make about $1 an hour:frown:

wow!! this looks awesome!! I am really glad my old truck could go to someone who could give it only "the best" treatment... i had thoughts of wanting to do this whole conversion when i owned this truck but i just didnt have the time and am already 2 projects behind.. i cant wait to see this thing finished!!

Daily Pic from the bodyman. Fender and flares installed. I went with the black for the flares. I thought that I needed a little more color contract, so I did not go with body color for the flares.
