Looking for approximately 2.5 inches of lift for mostly city driving with a couple trips a year down to Moab.
Originally planing on going for the Old Man Emu 2.5 inch kit but the further I dig in the more concern I have about the quality of the dampers. Not ragging on them by any means but if they're really made by Monroe it gives me a bit of pause vs. Bilsteins with a lifetime warranty.
I know a lot of the car guys have issues with Bilsteins being too stiff vs other options and it seems this may carry over into their 4x4 (5100's) as well. Does seem that the build quality should theoretically be higher with the bilsteins vs OME and the lifetime warranty certainly doesn't hurt.
Is this a reasonable line of thinking or would you guys with more experience encourage me to bite the bullet and go OME? Previously I've always focused on lowering my cars. First time lifting a truck.
Thanks much.
