Got my snokel in today. Love how they send no instructions with this thing. Don't recall if my template has the fourth hole in it or not. Ill check and see tomorrow. It has the three holes that mount it to the fender like the ones in your picture. I'll check and then get back with you.
That's great, The set up is relatively easy. If it's like mine you won't need the last hole near the pillar.
I tried to take my rig to work today, it's still leaking fuel near the engine. Having a hard time zeroing in on it or reaching in there

Same snorkel as yours. Mine has the fourth hole in the template, I guess it is the one where you have the tan tape around it. This one should be used for the big hole saw right? I'll post pictures on my thread when I get off of night shift and have time to do it. Hope you get your fuel leak sorted out.

It finally stopped raining. I checked and traced the fuel lines to see where the leak is coming from. As far as I can tell it might be the fuel filter coming loose. It might be time to replace it anyway, but I don't want to spend money at parts I don't need. I'm trying to get it road worthy because I might be headed down to the border for Thanksgiving. I'm also hoping to switch out the front tire for the spare (i mounted the wrong one last time), but it might be way too muddy out for that right now. We'll see how adventurous I feel after a few beers.

So the 15 year old cat died this weekend. I've been waiting for it to happen for a while, but he chose to do it when it was storming out. Had to dig a hole in the rain and console the missus for the rest of the weekend. When it finally got sunny I found this crack in the tire. Was planning on taking it for a drive in the mud, but changed the tire instead.

So I took the tire apart and gathered all the beads I could. This was the tire that was supposed to be the spare but I accidentally put in the front.I'll save you guys the boring details, since I don't want this to end up being a tire changing thread :) .

I also got a cable lock and secured the diesel cans. Will post up pics tomorrow.

I've been gone for about two weeks at the Naval War College in Rhode Island. Had fun, learned a lot and froze my fingers off. I also had the opportunity to go to Boston and have the honor to mark the anniversary of Pearl Harbor on the oldest US commissioned ship, the USS Constitution and the last US ship to be struck by a Kamikaze bomber, the USS Cassin Young. I walked the monument at Bunker Hill which is just overseeing the harbor. You can practically relive the history.

BTW there are many Bunker hills, as the owner of the land was a Mr. Bunker. But the one we learned about in the history books has a huge monument sitting on it.

Yours truly aboard the USS Constitution. You can see the Bunker Hill Monument in the background. I'll try to load the full pic of the Constitution once I am able to.

I'm glad to be back in Texas where it's above freezing temps and to see diesel prices dropping.

Very cool, Mike. I was wondering why you've been so quiet.

What classes were you taking?

Learning how to win wars while apologizing for being so superior. I missed my cruiser, but it was fun. Next time I'll schedule this for summer.

Here's the pic of the USS Constitution i promised.

A few years back I was on her sister ship the USS Constellation.

So glad to be driving my cruiser again. Filled it up with Diesel and took it to work. Locked the front hubs since I haven't done that in a while and winter is here. I get a small wobble at some speeds, but it's constant at around 70mph. I might have to add a few more ounces of beads to the tires. The AC will need to be recharged, but that can wait until it gets hot in Texas. I'm really looking forward to driving this to Big Bend in the next few months, but will have to solve the tire imbalance first. If I don't I'll probably loosen up my fillings on the way there.

Drove most of the way home with this fully restored mid 70s Bronco. It looked like it did when it rolled off the showroom. The only pic I was able to snap isn't great.

It finally rained a bit, but not enough to get a good feel for how the Baja tires will handle. Hopefully tomorrow.

Mpg in mixed driving, hubs locked and the new bumper 17.76 miles to the gallon. I bet i can hit 20 on just highway.

Coming from the 100 series forum, I am jealous of your gas mileage...

11-13mpg in the city; maybe 14 on the highway around 60mph. I do have a Yakima LoadWarrior roof rack with no front fairing so that certainly is not helping...

That's still better than what i was getting in the 3fe. Was getting between 9 and 11 mpg depending on wind and that was without a rack. Now with all the bumpers, sliders and roof rack I'm averaging 17. My best was 22mpg . Of course I had to regear and do a diesel conversion first.

Damn I'm hungry...

Merry Chrismas fellas :)

Just got done marinating everything. Will be up at 4 firing it up. Will post up if it comes out good. Merry Christmas all, or as they say in Texas Y'all.
