A few more. Made friends with two squirrels, Nutela and Almond Joy. Trained them to eat from my hands. There are videos of them climbing on me to eat off my shirt. I'll have to find them.

I didn't take any Hawaii pictures worth posting. I was there for a military exercise and was working long hours.

Nice pictures of your trip. Looks like you had great weather. Side arms are a must up there.
I’d love to move to Alaska but the daylight and night seasonal fluctuations would be hard to adjust to. My wife couldn’t.
I do enjoy rustic cabins. Way back for my 25th birthday my wife surprised me with a 3 night forest service lookout cabin rental. There was about a foot of older snow when we got there. Was nice weather for a day then a storm front came in and snowed for about 24 hours. I had a 1985 Toyota 4Runner at that time. Cooked ribeye steaks over the campfire that night in the raging snow. The cabin was propane for everything. Only issue was pack rats. Our dogs were up all night fending them off. My wife actually handled it quite well. It snowed 14” of dry champagne powder. Wheeled out about ten miles. Was a great birthday to say the least.

Can you send me some pictures when you have time.
Yea. It'll be sometime tomorrow, I'll have to look and see which pages of my build thread they are on. I wanna say I did it in 2014 or 15.

Looking forwards to how those fans do. They are what I really want for my swap but went with the Ford fans for budget reasons (1/4 of the cost).

So far they move a lot of air in traffic and slow speeds. The AC blows cold. I need to see how it does on highway speeds but my hub keeps coming loose and I need to do an axle rebuild.

Im traveling a lot, so I'll drop it off at the land cruiser specialist when I get the chance. I'll keep you posted on the fans.

You need to loose those Warn hubs in favor of some Aisins with some chromoly gears. You have chromo birfs right? I’m amazed you haven’t broken the Warn hub yet.

Same here. It's been on my "replace it when it breaks" list for some time, but they have held up very well. Aisin is expensive. and Yes, I have chromo birfs.

EDIT: I just ordered Aisin locking Hubs. $98 on Rock Auto.

This arrived in the mail today. It's much heavier than the warn hubs. As you can see from the attached image, It's been raining here a lot so might be a few days before I can get to it.

Are you at bragg, lejune or somewhere else in the carolinas?
I'm actually still in Texas awaiting to find out if I'm going to the Carolinas. I hope you're well stocked up and moonshine is ready for the apocalypse.

I dropped off big red to get some work done, it felt like the front tire was going to fly off the axle. When I parked it the left hub was really hot and it had lost all of its nuts holding it in place. I had tightened them before the drive today, luckily it made it in one piece. Can't wait to have the aisin hubs installed.

I’d say that’s a negative unless your going to help out with the disaster relief. These pictures are dangerously beautiful. That eye is amazing. Can actually see the ocean.

Looks like I'm heading south instead of east. I dropped off some parts for big red at land cruiser specialist in Austin. There were many nice rigs there. One green 60 in particular caught my eye.

Anyway looks like I messed up something in the knuckle , this is how big red sits right now. Was bit of a fun drive on the highway.

Misleading. I think of Warn and I think quality. They make amazing winches but not good hubs. I’ve worked for the actual Warn family here in Oregon. Too bad it’s not a family owned company anymore.

Honestly, the warn hubs stood a lot of punishment and didn't break, so I give them respect. But by weight and feel, its aisin hands down.
