I wrote a few dealerships, figure that would be the fastest way. One told me they are discontinued, the other told me that the particular car I want is sold but they have a huge selection of other cars and the third hasn't written back yet. When I wrote back to ask what model car is called clutch fork they didn't answer.

thanks, but my mechanic said I need the Getrag clutch fork that's 93 or older. I'll ping him to double check again. This sucks doing everything from a continent away.

Are you running the Getrag transmission or the NV4500?

ok after tearing the ligaments in my knee and breaking a knuckle i'm back in the US. I took some pictures of BIG RED today and here is where it sits right now. I bought the bell housing and the adapter from advanced adapters. The way they set it up is it needs a getrag clutch fork for it to work. unfortunately, getrag clutch forks for 93 or older models are almost impossible to find. if anyone has one or knows where I can get one that would be great. Attached is a picture of the AA bell-housing and the Toyota clutch fork. The Toyota part fits loosely so i'm worried it will break off while wheeling or just driving. thanks.

I don't understand. You can get factory adapters that go from your 4BT to the NV4500, and use a factory clutch system, then everything is easy to find, and more importantly, replace when something wears out down the road.

- What flywheel housing do you have? ( chevy or dodge )
- What year NV4500 do you have? ( pre or post '94 )
- Which AA bellhousing did you purchase? ( part number )

I forgot to say in my last post, sorry to hear about the leg and hand, welcome back to the states!!!

Remember what year the flywheel housing came out of?

I used a Dodge 94-01 flywheel housing, bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, throwout arm and slave cylinder. Easy to find replacements.

Sorry man, not sure where to get the Getrag clutch arm from.

I ordered the flywheel housing off ebay. it's a 2006 dodge cummins 5.9 . it fits the 4bt and the bellhousing. Got the flywheel and the clutch from valair.

I don't think the Toyota fork will break. Have you seen the Getrag version? It's stamped steel.

Where is it loose? On the TO bearing?

Welcome back, Mike. We need to get lunch and check out the rig sometime next week.

No, wasn't me at the shop.

Is that a Toyota bearing retainer?

Was year Dodge was the clutch made for?

I'm starting to think that you can return that AA bellhousing and pick up a stock Dodge bellhousing, then use the stock clutch fork and slave cylinder. Should be cheaper than that $400 bellhousing.

Yep, that might be your best bet in the long run. You have the standard Dodge bellhousing pattern via your engine adapter, so you can use a bellhousing like Johnny instead of the AA one.

the dodge clutch is a 93 to 03 model. If I can find the getrag clutch fork then problem solved and the tranny and everything else can go in in the next few days. Otherwise i may have to do what you guys are suggesting which will take up more time. i really want this ready for round up.

When is round up?

Good luck in your search for the getrag clutch fork. Only spend another day or so on that, and at the same time, start looking for a 94 and up NV4500 bellhousing, clutch fork, ball and spring. Should be easier to source from a local junkyard or 4btswaps.com.

For now, I'd get that NV3500 clutch fork. It's cheap enough to try out.

Sorry to hear about the knee and hand. I'm sure there is a story you are not allowed to tell behind the injurys.

That truck will keep you distracted, though.
