Also, any negatives to using the vent clips? I was worried about breaking the vent somehow.

Cheap knock-off magnet clips may damage vents as the rubber comes off and may scratch the vents.
Otherwise, I run quality magnet vent clips in all my vehicles and never had a problem. Very strong off road as well. I just affix metal plate to outside of my iphone case. In my Ford Fusion the vents are not in a good place so I run a CD insert version of the same. It's nice having the same setup for all vehicles and phones in the family.

does this still allow BT phone Calls to go through the factory bt?

really like this as I currently have an iPhone adapter that combines a power cable witha headphone jack cable. Looks a bit janky. Plus is an aggravation to plug it in every single time I get in the truck.
Yes, BT Phone calls override the BT streaming through the device. It's seamless.

In case your still need your 3rd row and want a floor mat:

thanks to the forum! I’ve done most of the mods in this thread!
lid ask the mods to make this under $100 thread linked in the FAQ. all this stuff took me months to find!

What all does the Carista let you do? Is it as in depth as TechStream?

No, definitely not as much in depth. But it's small and easy to have with you all the time. Works for a variety of cars, not just Toyotas. Also some have reported having trouble getting Techstream to change the TPMS values when swapping tires/wheels. Pretty easy to do with Carista. Have a look at their website for details.

Yes. As long as you get the firefly which does not have the phone profile

It’s the cleanest, cheapest, least intrusive solution I’ve seen.

@Romer

I'd like to respectfully nominate these two threads for the FAQ:

I was aware of the flasher relay, but the cupholder insert was new to me from this thread. If these two mods solve a problem, and multiple people think they're on the list for best sub $100 upgrades, it would be great to make them easy to find.

I added the relay. The water one is a 22 page discussion while others develop a solution. Don't feel it is an FAQ thread.

My favorite on the "2008 safety devices will come later" have been blind spot mirrors for $4 at Advance. Literally fantastic and perfect fit. Can move the convex mirror independently. 3m tape and has not come off or moved in a year and I literally bent the driver's side mirror the opposite way very forcefully on two occasions on a Florida slash pine that apparently was positioned on a trail in Ocala that only Jeepers could forage in terms of width but that didn't stop the LC and found another way. The other time I was stupid when I first got the LC and went to a car wash and watched that irritated car wash mop flop my mirror and housing back and forth. Both times zero damage. Yeah. $4.

The best holder is the Pelican. $79 including case. Mag mount, wireless charging. Pro tip: buy a Ram-to-garmin ball adapter. But you need an iPhone 11.

I have the iOttie. Supports Samsung fast charging, and comes with plates for multiple cases. I've been pleasantly surprised how well it works for holding the phone in place and charging. I picked it up around Black Friday for $30. Comes with cigarette adapter with a pass through USB to charge other devices. It is great not having to plug my phone in anymore.

If you've got a pre-bluetooth streaming audio cruiser (2008-2011 I think) I've loved this BT adapter . Since the aux and 12v port are so close together it's almost unnoticeable with a small 12v to USB charging adapter.
Tunai Firefly

I have one of these in my Miata and it works really well. The light on the end is kinda bright at night, but a piece of electrical tape fixed that.
