I know that deotschtech has a product line referred to as "pre-runner" series of shocks that have some softer valving and are direct fit as well as cheap. You can find them in different lengths. Bought some when I got my 7" tjm and replaced them because they were way too soft for the spring rate and weight I was carrying.
Wow how did u like the 7" lift I am pondering doing a 6" in my diesel. Did u run 35's and how does it compare to 4". I had 4" before but always seemed like it needed more travel when I hit ruts at a high speed or whoops

Wow I am very impressed that is awesome!!!!! How does it wheel now compared to before? My previous weight was honestly insane so I am imagining crawling in it now would be sweet

I can't say that the reduced weight changed the wheeling very much. Since those pics, we added half doors, that cut down on the dust. Build thread is in my sig line.

The open air is the best part. I have seen about 1/2 dozen of the topless variety 80's and most everyone loves them, as most of us like to wheel to get outdoors, not to roll up the windows.

We did add a bikini top as the sun does beat down on you, so the tube frame helps for mounting it.

Well, I wouldn't say that your experience would be comparable. My cruiser has a 3-link front and had no sway bars at the time. The coils seemed adequate for the most part when the cruiser was completely stock with no bumpers or spare or anything. They got a little sketchy as I added the pounds on. I messed around with different shocks and couldn't find a satisfactory setup for my wants and liking, so I went with slee 6" heavy rears and medium front. Have had a hell of a lean since, seems every several months I'm swapping them side to side to level it out some. I put on some 4" slee mediums and noticed a drastic difference in height but it seemed like the springs were softer than the tjm standard rates. I didn't even drive on them before I decided to take them off. The minute I let the truck Down and everything settled it had a wicked lean like the 6" springs also have, and yes I'm aware of swapping coils side to side as mentioned above. I noticed it leaned as much or more when I climbed into the cruiser and said hell no and ordered the heavies. As far as tires I have been running 40" Toyota tires for several years so I don't know about the 35's. I may drop back to a different 4" lift this summer and see how I like it, but I'm not planning on dropping tire size until I go on a really long trip or something. I am currently running bilstein 7100 remote reservoir shocks at their highest valving and a rear sway bar which help with ride comfor, had to make adapters for the Eyelet style shocks though.

They are a few years old but for a 2.5, 3 inch lift
That's the thing I'm at 3.7" of lift and will probabaly add bigger spacers at some point because I can

So much body roll that.....well u see the truck now!omg 40" tires that's amazing would love to see that incredible. I am guessing u had to do a body language ftbor cut the body a lot?

I have only trimmed and extended the rear fenders so far, I've been meaning to do the front for quite a while and haven't had time to get around to it. Hopefully this summer when I do my diesel swap. The fender trim post link is in my signature line as well as the general lift and build of the 80

What Roof Top Tent you recommend?
Maggiolina I have a James baroud I think it's cheaply made just did a YouTube review on it

I put on the really cheap pro comp 9000 and they are pretty good for a 5400 lb truck. In case anyone one someday happens to wonder.
