I want to get this. No drill
Did you also notice their overhead MOLLE panel under the sun/moon roof?
Very cool. I may be temped to get that and add another fire extinguisher, MAG flashlight and IFAK up there for easy access in case of emergency.

Feel Like my leg/knee would hit this.
I agree. My right calf and knee already rests on the center console. I can't image how much worse it would be if I were to holster my 9mm there also. I think I've seen another MOLLE like that, that mounts to the side of the console and still had the same thought of crowding my right leg.
I'd probably have to sit in someones rig who has one and see how it felt before I'll commit to purchasing one.

I like that... but I think it would interfere with my right knee at times.

Phones up high, so your eyes are minimally distracted from the road.

I don’t think a holster would work for me either, but a long arm for a phone and an ipad seems like the ticket.

Reiterating this (post #4) is a great solution. Did it on my GX for maybe ~$30.

I like this and the money savings. Probably didn’t notice first time because that forum is so glitchy I can’t stay there but for a minute or so until it crashes and has to reload 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know there are multiple options, but I'm still trying to figure out a solution.

I'm liking @Bang Bang solution with the scosche magnetic mount, but I'm nervous about sticking it to the silver plastic piece on the dash. Will the double sided tape mess up the plastic or fail in heat? I'm planning on keeping this car for years so I want something that will last. Does anyone have long term experience with the scosche mount? At least for a year or two?

My scosche mount failed in summer heat. It didn’t last long for me.
I purchased a new iPhone and am now using a MagSafe vent mount with charger and am very pleased thus far.

Well I’m glad I brought this up again. I’m thinking they have my money rn.

I really wish I would had seen this before I lost hours of my life going down the rabbit hole looking at mounts. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile and I did stumble on it and that is the route I ended up going and mounted it this weekend. I highly recommend!

Vent mounts are out of the question for me based on number of devices I use and as someone said earlier I'm not blocking the life support systems.

Not a fan of drilling into or using double sided tape on the dash or surrounding trim.

For 10 years on the Taco used the BirdDawg Industries Tech Deck Extreme console mount which is similar to the Expedition Essentials accessory mount.

And A pillar mod for the Garmin Alpha and external antenna in case one of the dogs took off chasing fur instead of birds

But the BirdDawg, what a great name when you're a bird hunter, mount being in the console left a few things to be desired in my case. The Gamiviti mount system addresses those weaknesses and is about perfect IMO. It is easy enough to roll back to factory for ~$60 if you want or sell the rig. That steel plate is stout, a lot heavier than I expected. And fully adjustable for mount locations. Only issue for some might be it does require using a 1/4 x 20 tap for the holes you want to use. But easy enough to do with a cheap Amazon tap and vice grips or even pliers if you have to. Wouldn't be the first time I've done that because couldn't find my T handle. Installation couldn't be much easier.

Decided not to go with the hardwired UltraGauge like I did in the Taco so using obdlink MX+ and cheap Motorola Black Friday phone as a tablet. Don't have cell phone reception most places I go so a Garmin isn't going anywhere. But use Google maps where I can

Still adjusting things and have a ton of RAM arms and balls already. Everything is just below the hoodline and my vision isn't blocked above or below the devices. And I don't have to take my eyes off the road. VERY pleased.

I've had mine in place for almost 2 years without issue. I had another one mounted on the other side of the head unit for my handheld radio and that one didn't make it a year. The radio is much heavier than my iPhone so I think that was the main issue. I also had it mounted lower on the smooth silver trim where it is flat and not angled at all so that may have contributed as well. But the tape left no marks / residue on the trim.

Anyone have any experience with the A-tach mount. Looks like it could cover the vent or the emergency flasher light switch, and might scratch the trim?

I'm also interested in the Pro-clip option, but also seems to block the air vent...

Very liberal use of "stealth" haha.

This looks cool. I'd be concerned it blocks too much of the windshield though.

That setup looks about as stealthy as a pink poke-a-dot leopard in a jungle.
Right! Easy way to hear "please step out of the vehicle" every time you get pulled over (without the pistol).

New one.

New GX owner here. I absolutely love this car, but it obviously lacks a convenient wireless charging station.

Doc has me on steroids that wire me out and keep me up at night. While I was up most of last night, my engineering side came up with a really clean solution for a wireless charging station that could be a viable commercial product. As it turns out, my son-in-law does design/fabrication via 3D printing and is looking for a product idea to take to market. He will be all over this when I propose it to him. If it goes anywhere, I will post updates here.

Also last night, my Ohio hillbilly side came up with a few less elegant ideas. I plan on trying them out and will post updates on that as well. This will definitely happen because a fleet of Amazon trucks are currently preparing for a mass package drop at my house. The end result will likely be a disaster, but should at least provide some humor.
