Spare Change management??

Some great ideas for inexpensive mods....

I am looking for an inexpensive and creative mod to handle all the spare change that ends up buried at the bottom of my console.

Never fails, I go to the drive-thru and I have to dig through all the junk in my centre console, to find the spare change at the very bottom (and it is usually fused together with spilled coffee residue..)

As for those aftermarket spring-loaded coin holders... I do not have the patience to take my change and individually place each coin in it's designated slot (sorting by coin size). C'mon who does that?

Any ideas guys??.....

I use a quart size ziplock bag.

if you have wrecked rear panels you can replace them with fiber board.
use the old panels as templates n cut it all out paint it whatever colour you want then just drill screws into the old hole already there mine looks even better than the original panels. and cost around AU $10. you can add new floors and a tool box for about another $20. the tool box is bolted down(remove the handles cos they rattle like hell. i used the carpet already in the car as a template fo the wood and kept it in as an underlay

Serenity, could you please post up a couple of pics?

[EDIT] Thanks, nice Job! I would love to replace the side panels on mine. I keep having to remount my speakers because the screws just rip themselves free.

Just wrap the center part of the handle with some sticky-back felt or the wrap used for re-wrapping baseball bat handles or the split loom for organizing stereo cables or a split section of vacuum hose or a sticky-back plastic clip for holding cables or... heck I'm sure you can think of a few!

i found some gerat spay paint today its AU $3 for a can. a thin coat dries in about 10 seconds, ive been using it for blacking out plastic parts and for using on some of my interior parts like the ash tray. only problem is it takes a few coats to get a decent coverage. it apparently works better if you apply a spay on primer first.

Okay so I recently posted this under another thread, but remembering this one thought I would post it here as well...

CB Speaker in factory dash speaker location.

Enjoy:

I got this external speaker from Ol' Radio Shack (Model: 21-549) = $21 bucks:

Then I just took a radio mount bracket (the bendable one with the holes in it) and cut it in half. Bent it to the right angle and it fits, and more importantly sounds great, It is sooo much louder than the puny one in the CB.

Here is a couple of crappy pics of it installed:

Stop the old-truck rattle!

Replacing inner weatherstrip on front doors.

Part #68170-90A01 - about $50.00 for both sides

K&N air filter $56 but totally worth the six over.

Larger filter area is better. Now, which of these 2 air filters would you rather have on your engine?

(hint: the K&N is on the right)

New battery terminal connecters were cheap, easy to install, and look sweet!

i installed a lighted switch (to arm in/out button), and window-up/down switch on the dash then connected it to the cable in and out solenoids on the winch. it makes me able to let a bit of slack out if the cable is to tight to release the clutch, and ill sometimes use it for a short pull. still usually use the other remote to reel in cable.
also built boxes to fit behind wheel wells for junk. put a lock on top and gasket to prevent rattling. still enough room to sleep in back.

I have K&N in my 60 and OEM in my 80 .. still thinking with are th best

1) Painting the BB and line on the flywheel with bright paint. I used some white model paint. Makes timing and valve adjustments much easier.

2) Wheelskins steering wheel wrap. Much more comfortable gripping the nice leather than the hard plastic.
