Has anyone installed a H55 and needed to bend their shifter cane? I need to bend mine to clear my right leg and am looking for some tips on process to bend.
Can the lever be disassembled?
What is the best way to bend? Using heat, then quelch?

If you have access to a press, that would be best. Heating the cane to bend will risk melting the rubber isolator and separation of the two parts of the cane.

Might bend up as well. Using the top cover from a 60 series locates the shifter further back and probably more awkward to shift. When you have it in a press would bend it forward. I would definitely use a press without heat. Do not want to melt the rubber isolator and break that bond. I know some have cut the shifter and welded the skinny part for the four speed. I have 40 series top covers and closest fat shifter I have been able to source is from a RHD 70 series. Haven't been able to source a LHD 70 series shifter. Have a LHD 60 series is it's much further to the right.

LHD 60 series verses RHD 70 series.
