Hubless looks cool as well.

Agree. And if I go that route, I could do these wheels in 16" (gotta bore the center out more) for $60 each and run km3 7.50-R16 tires for a nice look.

^^^^^ probably too shallow to fit I suppose
Haha, tried that. No luck.

Putting a hole in is easy enough. Seems like a sin, but really they are in rough shape so not too big of a deal.

Don`t know why all you gals & guys need hubs.
I feel fine without.
Porsches are hubless too.:)

Nice can by the way.... Cheers.

Talking with @POTATO LAUNCHER tonight and he had a cool suggestion. Replace the door stickers and represent a little with my logo but distress it to fit the patina. The ones on it are cool but they are stickers and really should be hand painted anyway. Just a thought, but seems pretty cool. We'll see.

Well, she went away for the winter :(. I have too many other cruiser projects ahead of it. Good news is that my '70 parts 55 has what appears to be a rebuilt engine in it that would slide in the 45 just great. The PO said it was rebuilt (according to the PPO) but he bought it as a basket case too so just talk really. Looking close it really looks promising, giving signs it has been worked over, just sitting for a long time. I'll try to make time for a closer look this winter.

I'd like to put the intake from the 45 on there and go back to the original carb. Also my early thermostat housing. Basically make it look 1965 correct. I do need to find an early F valve cover. I might have a line on one but not sure yet.

I fought an Aisen small window carb for several years, so would never go that way. Slap a 3fe in there and enjoy the good life.

I haven't posted much because I haven't had much, my poor 45 sits and waits it's turn.
I did get plates in the mail today. To get them already is kind of dumb of me except that I finally went and got my title issued for it (original lost), and the personalized plate "FJ 45" was still available in MI so I went for it. Maybe I will hurry up and get her road worthy now. I never intended to be a vanity plate guy but I like the model designations so now I have FJ 40, FJ 45, FJ 55, FJ 60 and FZJ 80.

What is the significance of the bridge for them to put it on the tag?
The Macinac bridge connecting Michigan's Upper and Lower penninsulas. Pretty much the gateway to awesomeness.

Nice! I’m extremely well traveled except for east of the Dakota’s and west of the original 13 states. I appreciate the history lesson.

Basically that bridge separates the Republicans from the Democrats?
Hahha!
Actually it is west and east that separates in the lower (im WEST!). In the upper, people are so old school and cool you don't know.
