Hens teeth. Mgyver or weld her up

Pat I’m excited to see this project underway. If you need a left front fender in better condition, I can help you out.

OK, here is one for those in the know- the seal for the windshield frame vent that is basically the hinge for it. I thought City Racer had them but not seeing it.

Looking forward to seeing you get this one on the road again. There is a guy in Australia that does the seal/hinge, his handle on eBay is Simonp7439 but I'm not seeing any listing from him. Connect with @andybudge , I am sure he will know who that is and you can buy some of his awesome correct repros too.

Simon Patterson. A true artist. Very clever Man!

More progress today.
Cab and front clip off of the chassis.

The frame looks really good under all the dirt and grime. It is packed full!

And beyond honest too. I have bought from him and in later packages he sent me the coin change on shipping I overpaid without me even knowing I paid too much. Makes me implicitly trust a man halfway around the globe without ever having met him

Epiphany moment yesterday. Bell is not Cygnus White as I had always assumed, but actually Yosemite Yellow. The finish is so faded I figured it was the effect of the Arizona sun for 60 years that gave it such weird tones on different parts of the truck. Looking at the inside of the fenders yesterday, I can definitely see the very pale yellow. Now it is all I see when I look at the truck. Not a big fan of yellow, but I must say I like it in this case.

I found a thread about this color and took this picture from @treerootCO post about it.

Maybe I should change Bell's name to Sam🤣

Or just some mudflaps

Rocking it! Love that this project is finally underway!!
Took a minute! Glad it is happening. I kept putting it off out of guilt. I kept rationalizing other things first. I think I have realized that being rational has nothing to do with it 🤣. I am not getting any younger and I have help, which is a game changer! I still have soooo much to get done on other fronts, but Bob, my awesome mechanic/employee is helping move this fast forward so I can get after other responsibilities!

My good friend Rob. @landcrusher909 , has a care package growing for me.
Thanks brother, for sharing such awesome early Cruiser knowledge and resources!

Things are definitely happening.
Frame and a ton of parts back from blasting.
Most pieces need a bit of work before powder coating. Lots of dents and such. The frame is really good, but the rear cross has a whoop to it. I should be able to finess it back with my big forklift and some creativity.

I got the bed flipped over and mounted on a steel rack I can use as a table and move with a forklift. I'm gonna go to town with a couple of deadblow hammers and see what I can finess out of the beaten sheetmetal. From there, the bottom is getting blasted, epoxy primed, then coated in Raptor Liner. The rest of the bed will stay patina'd.

Tonight, for a decompress, I scrubbed up the rest of the passenger fender with Iron Out, polished, and waxed it up. It looks really good. I love the "storied" look.
