After several missed deadlines the sandblasting shop called to say my parts were ready.

Today I got most of it back together. I can't say enough good about the job the powder coating company (Dixie Powder Coating) did. The owner was knowledgeable and patient with me in explaining different powders and working up different quotes for me to choose from and then did a great job applying the one i chose. I am pretty sure I could drive my jeep with the trailer attached into their oven.

The side panels enclose the outer cargo areas. The cantilever umbrella fills one side when stowed.

I put a 1/4" strip of plastic around the outer edge of tub the serve as a wear surface and to equalize the gap between tub and lid for the rest of the tub compared to the thickness of the hinge along the front

The build came out fantastic...congratz on all that hard work..

Really looks good, now get out there and scratch and get it dirty. Really nice work.

Thanks guys,
It is almost ready. Today I spent quite a bit of time cleaning up the wiring. I installed a seven pole junction box on the rear face of the first cross member and tied together all the normal ( stop, tail, turn, and marker wiring there. I also put together what I think of as the house system. This included the deep cycle batteries, charger, switch/ fuse panel and wiring for two 12V receptacles at the rear of the trailer. The charger had a much longer cord than I needed, so I cut a section out and wired in a weather proof 110V outlet that will give me a place to semi- permanently plug in the ARB fridge so that one cord plugs in the charger and fridge. It also give me a place to plug in other 110v equipment provided I am connected to shore power. The charger itself is a Guest 32082S w/ alternator power module. It can charge from 110V or 12V from the tow vehicle.
I tested the fridge for the first time today, seemed to work great.

Pics of the switch panel. My phone's camera could not show the difference between on and of in daylight and had a hard time focusing in the dark. The labels are backlit green when the circuit is closed/on and red when open/off.

Oddly enough I got this at the grocery store marked way down at the end of last summer. It was cheap enough to risk being useless. If I like the way it works in the field great, but if not I won't be losing any sleep over it. If I love it I will be willing to spend more on its replacement when it dies.

I'm diggin the uber cool switch panel. More info?

Today I built my stabilizers to prevent sway when the tent is deployed. These are my take on what i have seen on some travel trailers and what AT sells, which may be the same product. Essentially there are two legs that hangs from the rear crossmember near each side. The two legs are connected by a ratchet strap. When the legs are pulled together by the strap they push up on the trailer all but eliminating sway. The legs are made of 3/4" DOM and 3/4" pipe. The DOM is the pivot and will stay connected at all times. The pipe portion is stored in the tongue box when not in use. Technically these telescope and could be pinned at different lengths, but i am planning on using them in their most compressed length most of the time.

All the pictures except the last one show the DOM part. The pivots are 14" long an nest on some perches that are welded to the frame (rear receiver actually) The pipe part is basically the same except it is twice as and the cross tube is centered ( makes a "T" instead of an "L".

Weighed the trailer for the first time today.

1575 pounds
This includes the tent, ARB fridge, umbrella setup, batteries, and empty fuel cans/ water tank/ LP cylinders.
