Emergency Information

This just a suggestion but when I organize sailing charters I always request the participants complete an emergency information form. Here are the basics.

Name:

Birthdate:

Home Address:

Home Phone:

Cell Phone:

Emergency Contact Name & Number #1:

Emergency Contact Name & Number #2:

Medical Information:
  • Current medications
  • Current medical conditions
  • Past medical conditions you feel is important to list.
  • Food or Medication Allergies
Vehicle Information:
  • Year
  • Make
  • Vin
  • Insurance Company (Mexican)
  • Insurance Co. Phone Number (Mexican)
It would be great to see everyone else provide this info or at least the emergency numbers and medical info. You can either write it down or type it up and provide a copy to Kevin and one other trail member. I would be happy to provide a form in MS Word or Adobe PDF format and PM it to everyone.

Hope this doesn't sound overly dramatic, but if something were to happen to one of us I would hope this info could help in providing proper medical care and enable us to reach loved ones.

Do you know what the elevation is for this weather site?

I just found the closest town to where we will be camping that was on their database. I used the map on Encarta cross referenced with Kevin's GPS map. 5462 feet, altitude of Laguna Hanson 5200 feet.

That's a pretty warm forecast for that elevation, I'm surprised. Anyway we all know that weather forescasts can change, we'll see.

Thanks for the info.

Thats an awesome idea Scott!

Can everyone print out one like this and give one to a "trail buddy"

Thanks

Hey Kevin,

A few of us rode from Rancho Veronica To San Felipe and back over the weekend. The Laguna Hansen Area got lots of rain - Tons of mud and the Lake is filling up. So Prepare for fun:cheers: We went down the Goat trail and had lunch in Valle T . It looked like Mikes was getting pounded so we decided it was San Felipe for the night and dropped down to the desert from there.

If you guys have some extra time at Mikes - take the canyon road that goes up the streambed behind the Sky Ranch. It eventually goes all the way up to the observatory ( short cut for bikes only- 23 miles ) and there are some neat waterfalls about two miles up. Also has a couple of great campsites if you have to spend the night there and a little more privacy than camping out near the main road at mikes. The only drawback is that you are not near the Bar. Also you can hook back up with the road that takes you out to El Coyote and Meling Ranch.

Hope you guys have a safe trip - we had no problems crossing both ways in Tecate and taking the toll road to El Hongo.

Tim

Thanks Tim!

Are we covered for dessert Saturday night?

Anything else we could use for the potluck? I'm thinking I'll bring some homemade chili.

Are we stopping to purchase beer or bringing from home?

Either way, most of the Pemexs sell it, so i figure whatever stopping we do for fuel, we can get the "Other Fuel" as well!

Bringing from home is fine too. I might just to that due to lazyness! :D

Fresh is best. None of that canned shiat in a good cobbler.

I have had CANNED peaches in Cobbler and will SWEAR TO YOU, it was the best thing invented since oral sex! :D
