I was at the game last weekend, although I wish I had tickets for this weekend too!

Damn, that truly does suck. I know how work can sometimes take a more important role in our lives than it should. Luckily my boss is a firm believer in the value of vacation days.

Not to mention the fact that we are losing out on our videographer.

We have a really small company so resources are extremely limited. I've gotten away with a lot, but I missed Borregofest (not because of work) and now I'm missing THE Baja trip.

We'll have plenty of other opportunities to get out this season. I don't think we've been out wheelin' together for about six months or so?

Yeah it has been a while. I was looking forward to seeing that bumper. But your right, we still have plenty of time.

Both my bosses are old school businessmen. Nothing wrong with that, but working long hours and "doing whatever it takes" gets old sometimes.

Its all good, this happens on every trip. If there was a big waiting list of people to go, i would be pissed, but there isnt so its all good.

I haven't cancelled my insurance yet, however, I jumped the gun and already made arrangements w/ the family and friends to go to Anza Borrego.

Damn. My kids will be bummed if I tell them we're NOT going.

5 is my rule of thumb # for minimum of trucks needed to travel down there safely.

I would like to talk about pulling over for dudes posing as cops by using flashing lights . Unless I see a light bar, a badge and what looks like a real cop I ain't pulling over for no one. Everybody who has gotten robbed down there have pulled over for posers. Not saying it was there fault and since we'll be driving during the day we should be able to make a positive ID if there's trouble.

I know about bad cops....paid my share of bribes. During the day they just want a little money, at night they get a little more brazen.

P.S.

Was tuning my CB today and the mic is going in and out...used the weather channel to test it.

I have two sets of FRS radios in the rigs but want CB to talk to everyone.

Does anyone have a handheld CB I can borrow? If not I'll buy a set tonight from radio shack.

Whats there to talk about? As you mentioned, unless i am 199% sure that they are real cops, i aint pulling over for no one!

All of the recent carjackings and fake stories stories have been:

-On the toll road between TJ and Ensenada
-At Night
-Cars either traveling solo or with one other invidual

My rules are pretty simple:
-Avoid Tijuana Like The Plague (crossing in tecate adds about 45 mins to the trip, but i refuse to go to TJ)
-Stay together
-No Night Driving
-More Rigs The Better
