what size drill should be used for installing or repairing axle pins? Thanks

So I want them to taper in toward axle?
No. Reamers are not only for tapered holes, but straight ones too. They create precise alignment.

So can I just mic the OD of the pin and find correct size reamer?

I have no clue what I am talking about so don't take my advice. But could you just put a pin in there that is the same size and then put a weld on it to get a solid fit?

lol I have no pins they came out with the old axles. which is why I asked. oh my bad that picture isnt me. thats someone adding extra 100 series pins. I only have new 80 pins

Have you broken the pins and studs in the past? I think I would rather break the hardware instead of the axle.

So you have new pins but they don’t fit in the existing holes in the hub ?

Ok so what is the question??

You pulled your old axles out and didn't notice that it took the dowels with them? Just get new dowels put them back in and bolt your axles back in.

OR

Are you trying to increase strength in the rear hub to axle interface by drilling new hardware holes and going to larger bolts and dowels? If so I would suggest you pull the hub, take it to a machinist and have it done correctly. Yes I know a company that sells new dowels with a drill bit. I would still do it right.
