These are not car parts. These are wall art ;)

Like this wall at my office? :)

And I have another one hanging as well.

Not interested in one but I appreciate the ambition, good luck with the importation process.

Just discovered this thread and impressed with your willingness to serve your fellow Land Cruiser addicts! Did you make it thru? Bummed i didn't see it earlier but if anyone changes their mind and doesn't want one i would buy for wall art. Am in Greenville SC!

These were on early 40's thru 1963. If i recall on an original 40 the grill would not say Toyota, because the bezel says Land Cruiser.

Not all 63 had them and not even sure any 63s made in 63 had them. Finding accurate information for early Land Cruisers is hard to do. SOR has VIN back to 64 but have always list mid 63 as the date the three speed changed. Have very limited info on changes made by VIN not date. But nothing on bezels.

Ah, but some of us LIKE creating an identity crisis! Throw in a T-bird and REALLY get-em going.

Finding the correct expanded metal grill with no provisions for the Toyota emblem is harder to do than finding a stamped bezel. Bought one from a member five six many more years ago. One of these days I need to open the box to be sure that's what's inside. Instead of the T-bird thought one of the repo oval TOYOTA hood emblems would be cool. Instead of Toyota in the grill with it on the hood it would read

Toyota
Land Cruiser

instead of

Land Cruiser
Toyota

Ya I know I have a problem

To do it really do it right need to have a early bib to go with it. @Landpimp had one in his driveway. Believe it was on a motion sensor that turned on the head lights. Always thought it would be cool to do a complete front end with a couple inches of the hood and fenders. Mount to the a frame cut off just behind the front frame member. If I had any art talent would mount it on the garage wall and with pieces of drywall to make it look like it drove thru the wall.

Good news everyone, I had 30 bezels requested and was able to get 30 today! I'm 99% sure that if you asked before today, 4/27, you got one. Now I just have to get through customs. They made a new rule down here that they won't allow car parts to be brought in/out as luggage. I just found that out as I'm sitting here in the airport and laid out $3550. So if you're reading this just wish me luck because I have to make it home with these parts and by 6pm today to make it to the parents vs kids soccer game I promised I'd play in. Here's to 36hrs of straight traveling...

Thank you for your efforts! I hope you made it home okay!

Love that idea!! I'll have to tell my daughter about this as she is real good with art (didn't come from me!). I don't have the money to do this, but I can sure dream.

Don't need money just the parts to do. Really want to go crazy add a PTO winch, front license plate bracket and factory fog lights. Adding the winch would require some extra bracing off the frame to help with the weight and leverage with the winch being off the wall further. That part not really art and could figure out. It's making the drywall looking like the cruiser broke thru it that's the problem. I think I might have cruiser pieces needed if I looked hard enough

My problem is that I don't have all the parts setting around like you do. I would have to spend money I don't have to get the parts I don't have. Plus, I don't have a garage or man cave to put it in. I would have a very difficult time getting my wife to go for that in the living room. I described your idea to my daughter, she liked it.

On the same lines, I was going to take the last two feet of a tub and frame and put them over the entry door of the shop. Rig the taillights to turn on with the counter lights so you could tell from the street if I was open for business.

did you make it back? any extras?
