Did you look under the gas-tank yet? Every one I've see had all kinds of funky sh#@ under there. I'd give it a look once you get the fuel level in the tank low enough.

That Cruiser is something else - thanks for the pictures.

x2

Found a live .223 round under my GAS TANK! glad I got that out before it let itself go.

Fantastic resto's, thanks for keeping super clean cruisers in circulation for the rest of us... at least I have a shot at one of those down the road in 20 years! :D

Thanks, it made a big differance on the body lines. With the wells being all white it all blended together I thought. So I taped off all the edges and went to work.....Note to self...........DO IT OUTSIDE.............I had a headache for 2 days after.

Wow, great pictures, and great cruiser. One of these days I'm gonna have to go through all your posts and save all the pictures to inspire me when I'm fixing up my 40. What happened to the bezel on the blue one?

The blue one is stripped of all its silver/pewter parts on the outside and inside along with all the seat brackets and sliders and ect on the inside. See the beginning of the thread, and I think I mispelled the title... I need to stop playing on mud so late at night.

It certainly did...I had to go back and forth looking at them. Personally I think I like the look of the blacked out wells but I'm also a BSW and black rim sort of person...Like the simplistic look I guess :)

As for the Note to self...That should be a FAQ Sticky :D

nice job on the undercoating.... I just cut and bufed a 67 GTO I JUST imean no more then a week earlier painted cuase the owner got undercoating overpray all over it... (free good friend of mine.)

I worked a 13 hour day (end of month) But I did call the platers and powder coaters and everything is ready to pick up.

All the OE parts are in or in hand.

The one I sold on ebay last week, the buyer wants this one and has offered me ALOT. Local FJ owner also seen it at starbucks and wants it...........My Toyota store wants to make an offer as well..............unreal.

Pics tomorrow night.

Put 89 miles on today running around picking up parts. Got most of the black powder coated parts for the blue one and a mess of other for my personal FJ.

The silver and gray wheels should be done tomorrow.

Picked up the replated parts as well and some other parts that were included.

I had to drop of three yards of vynal to my upholster and got talked into having a drink. Well I had never been to a HOOTERS and not a wing guy so i got a eye full and stomach full. It was a hard drive home, then I hit the sack for 4 hours since my head was still spinning from the hot sauce.

I planned on bolting up alot of parts tonight and all I could get done was pics.

All this work to sell it??

I would be honored to be buried in that thing. No way I could part with it.
