I know for a fact that Randy knows just a little about diesels...;)

I don't think princess will fit in his garage.

Mark, when I tell people I have gay friends I think of you first. You embrace the bling in whole new ways.

Coming along nicely, and quickly!

You gave me so much crap about the red valve cover on my last 3FE...I had to go black this time. :flipoff2:

oh on a side note got the murder-cedes runnin tonight it was something stupid ill explain at work. gotta go button it back up.

Dang you guys are funny. I think Euclid will be next if he keeps looking at these PURR D ENGIN threads.

Well I did a bunch of shopping last night and absolutely no wrenching. and tonight I have an Orchestra concert at the arts center. YEAH!!!! At least that will be the last of the 4x's a week practice that kills my wrenching time.

Either way I still needed injectors to have it complete. Just gave me more time to clean up stuff. and paint EVERY POSSIBLE BRACKET BLUE!!

Because PURR D = HP/TORQ. :flipoff2:

It's not true, what they say about never going back. :D

Believe me, all the blue is way more bling than that :rainbow: valve cover you did.

Have you done her stereo yet? That's the build you need to invite me over for.

Looks great so far.

I loved that red...it added 15hp to the engine! ;)
No tunes yet...let get the truck on the road, then I'll see how crazy Michelle want to go with some tunes.

Mark- when you have it figured out, post up what you're thinking about the tunes. Would be interested in tweeter placement.

I am yanking the Infinity Kappas for what I think will be some mid-line MQ Quart coax's (6 mids, 4 tweeters), and Zapco amps(360.4s or similar line). Maybe a bigger, 12" sub if I can find one not too deep. Currently have an Infinity perfect 10.d hooked to a 500W Zapco. The infinity has been a great musical sub but I need more depth to catch the low strings.

(and to think I like driving the FJ62 over the 40s/45, hehe)

come to think of it, you may need a seperate thread for Michelle's tunes

Hijack on, Ken!

I have 2 JL 8w3v's in sealed boxes, down firing, pushed by an old 1st gen Mosfet MTX amp, bridged. Deck sub output for supply. Infinity Kapa's in the back, MB Quart's in front. Eclipse cd5444 deck. The system is very tune-able using the Eclipse 12 band parametric eq and time-alignment. My only complaint is the imaging up front. If my leg is in front of the door speaker (most comfortable placement) the stereo is off. Tweeter would help but I never figured a good place to put it. A pillar would be way to bright, IMO.

OK Mark, start a thread and we will jump in. :grinpimp:

Man you guy's need to seriously hook me up on some tunes! I can do a conversion but just got lost in one paragraph. Now that is funny!!

It's about time! I need some good quality install photo's too. I should have her sitting in the truck tonight if the injectors arrive.

OK - I started a Audio Thread!

I have always placed my tweeters on the lower kick panels and faced them up at a angle. I have never...never had a problem with people kicking them. The imaging is fantastic, and it creates a great front staging effect.

Not sure what type of tunes's Michelle truck will get. She is just not into tunes, at the least..she might get some bass.

Here is the tread:
