Not wasting any time! You thinking about a solid front axle swap at some point?

Yes, but not in the near future.

I am pretty much at my budget now, so not a lot more to come quickly!

Need to find a rear locker - next priority.

Otherwise, I'll have to make due. Gave my notice at my job and am starting my next chapter in June. Funds will be hard to come by, but I will finally have time....

Funny how that works!

Congratulations on the new truck! No way that is a PA truck, unless it spent all Winter in a garage. The no AC tells me it can't be from down South though. Find someone with a Carfax to run the VIN and find out where it lived.

My theory is that it was towed behind an RV. The front is really chipped up. Need to get the hood repainted, but debating swapping a newer front clip.

My job is slow. I was reduced to 40hrs a week, I love it! Most guys are bitching about money but I'm good with my bills and love having Fridays off without the wife around. To day I'm cooking up a batch of beer, seam sealing my tent, and starting to tear down a wall in my kitchen.

Did flushing the cooling system fix the issues? No headgasket problem?

I didn't get that far yet ;)

Radiator seems partially clogged, flushed a few times and am still getting brown water out. Planning to flush engine with a hose before installing the new water pump and radiator.

Original coolant that I drained has not separated - there is no oil or oily residue on the top.

Headed to the cabin this weekend, so probably won't get around to doing any more until next week.

Interesting detail - had been assuming the stock wheels were 16'" because I had a 4Runner with the same design that were 16s. They are 15" wheels.

95.5-2000 were 15" wheels 01-04 were 16's. On a side note. You ordered 16's when you thought you already had a set?

I thought only the base models of the 95.5-2000 had the 15" but the SR5 or TRD models had 16"
The 4Runners were in the same boat, if you get a base 2WD you got 15" but then anything else got 16" even though the door sticker said 15"

It doesn't matter too much really. I may be totally wrong. I thought the base wheel was a 15" steel wheel then the alloy like pictured on Andy's taco was definitely 15". 00-04 were all 16" Jeremy had a hard time finding a 15 that would fit his.
