Same here.No s***?! I’d never have guessed.
on the tcase I just ripped that top part/spring loaded off and pushed some heater/fuel line over the little stub and hose clamped it on. id imagine a barb would be more secure on an axle, but it take a a bit to pop that hose off and on the tcase it doesn’t get that much movement.
my axles are extended but honestly I don’t remember if it’s the same setup or Barbed.
I raised my tcase and both diff vents, using the same fuel line/screw clamps. I tee’d all three lines together and attached them to new barb fitting on the air cleaner. Never came off, nary a problem.
But I can’t recall if I ever raised the tranny vent... probably didn’t, since I felt the top of the tranny shift tower was higher than any raging southern and eastern NV stream anyway.
There’s water in Nevada??
We can cover that.Man, this conversation needs whiskey and a camp fire!

You could try the virtual gathering, it would work from a social distancing point of viewWell, guys! I'm in Sun Valley so Ryan and I are pretty close geographically speaking. Only a small mountain range separates us. Ryan has some Black Label and a camp fire, which is nice. I have about 47 different IPA's and 3 different Rye whiskeys and a thirst to match, which is also nice. Our only problem is Solace in Solitude... he has a camp fire and a Lab. Two of the most elemental needs of a human; fire and a dawg, but he is way to hell and gone in Nevada... and a dog beside the camp fire in my opinion is vital. And of course if Ryan is going to post a photo we need a FJ40, a stream and some kind of ichthyological specimen for him to hold aloft. Oh, and meat. We're going to need meat. I'm an African. Real meat not Southern Fried chicken. RED meat. (Where the hell did you Americans get the idea that us Africans eat chicken?) I've got about 10lbs of biltong too, for those of you who understand what that means, but a chop and a piece of boerewors is what life is about.
So we've got a problem with you Solace in Solitude. How are we going to do this thing of sitting around a camp fire with a "dop" in hand and a chop on the coals while I tell you how I caught a coelacanth bare handed while fighting off a marauding Great White and an Ozzie Sheila with both my hands tied behind my back and repairing a puncture on a split rim while surrounded by a Zulu impi, when you are stuck in balmy Nevada tanning your legs?

Metal Barbed Hose Fittings for Air and Water
Slide the barbed end into rubber hose and secure with a clamp or a crimp-on hose ferrule.
Brass fittings are softer than other metal fittings, so they’re easier to thread together. They have good corrosion resistance. Fittings with a threaded end are also known as hose nipples.
