I was heading out Cienega, saw a turkey (bird, not an idiot) in the road, slowed down and went around it and less than 1/4 mile past that something decided to charge my left front tire coming into the straightaway...must've been following you and decided to try to snack on the turkey? No worries now though, I either maimed or killed it for you so it won't be following you anymore. :lol:

NorcalBorn, nice 60! I LOVE white cruisers!! Are those wheels 2.5 or 3" backspacing?

The white 60's not mine, I rolled mine a few years back, :crybaby: I'm in the 4Runner now. ;) I'll let the owner answer any q/a on his rig, which like jgordon's is equiped to handle the good stuff, I can safely say to some degree I was jealous all day. :flipoff2:

It was a nice day and enjoyed meeting everyone and getting the cruiser out.
 
Hey guys. Yesterday was a good time. Trip is currently on hold, my truck got broken into last night and I lost my gun, my tent, my bow, and all of my tools, among other stuff. Trying to sort out the details now. Will put in calls once things calm down a bit to high desert and the guys I'm supposed to meet.

:mad: Oxygen Thieves!! :mad: At least the truck is Ok, right? Called insurance yet? Sorry to hear this, it's probably no consolation knowing our friend's Pontiac G6 was also apparently hit (along with a few other folks out in the Sunrise). He said "..shattered the passenger window, broken window glass about every 5-6 houses or so..." on his block.

If you want/need help putting a kit together to get yourself going remember the referrals I gave you, we can put together some tools and parts to get you back up and going again. We can even probably get a Cb mike also. (If need be, we can also always call on my friend w/ the cabbed Blazer frame I introduced you to at the day use area, he owes me a few favors.) I'm only working until maybe 3pm Tues/Weds and am taking Thurs off, so don't hesitate to call on me. After hearing of this stuff I am seriously going to follow through on my thought(s) about the storage box I mentioned. *What was the source for those, or any other company I should try?*

*Oh..and again, although a section I've done before w/ no problems, I really appreciated the spotting. I really should remember that like when mountain biking, traction can change dramatically when the soil conditions are as different as they've been over the last few weeks.

That blows Jared, sorry to hear that. I hope you're covered, it'll be a good chance to upgrade to a Matthews Switchback if you are (or a PSE) what ev.

Once again, sorry to hear there are these A-HOLES in the world.

That really blows jared. hopefully your insurance can help you out. I have learned to take alot of my valuables that cant be replaced in where ever i go.
 
jgordon, so very sorry, yet not suprised to hear that there are f%%#ing thieves out there. I was following, the thread along, trying to figure out how I would match what you have already done, up here in N Idaho, and then the bad news. Hope you can rally, and look forward to seeing the trip progress. Best of luck, and may they die slowly and in great pain.
