Might as well change the vent filter. I think I will go with the big one. Will see if I can replacement fuel lines.

I think the tank is in finally. Just need to figure out how to connect the fuel level sensor to the “new” harness

I found it was pretty easy to disconnect the sender on top, attach different wiring.

I replaced the cab back main wiring harness with a “new “ takeoff harness. Had to incorporate the old wiring into the new harness. I think I got it all to work, tail lights, rear tank sender, and trailer lights.

Next week hopefully will get the bed back on.

Pulled the head off today can’t see anything obvious to cause signs of a head gasket leak. Pre-cups show signs of cracks, and the gasket part over the Pre-cups are cracked.

Any idea of the milage since new, or sinse last overhaul. Just trying to baseline my Hz with 260KM's on the clock??

Also, is that a fibre or metal head gasket??

Guessing 15-20k miles since overhaul. Factory/fiber type gasket

Is it normal for head bolts to get rusty and/or pitted?

Dropped head off at machine shop to see if all is good.

Wasn’t this engine recently rebuilt? That’s bummer news indeed.

I’d be making a cost benefit analysis on an engine swap if I was in your boots.
