I've had Goodyear airbags for years with 866s. It's a good compromise to the all-or-nothing heavies.

Rear bumper, RTT, fridge, drawers, water fuel etc. and at about 15psi it is perfect. Good ride height adjust-ability for load albeit at some loss of articulation. With 7psi, and the truck unloaded, it is only a little bit over sprung and pretty civilized on road due to the progressive rate springs.

I ran the fittings and lines out the tops and put a Schrader valve through my Slee bumper behind the swing out close to the hinge. Having OBA is nice too. You can air them down and back up as needed offroad. For the volume of air required you could just carry bike CO2 chargers or a small paint ball tank.

Hey Guys! I am at a point where i am getting ready to install my OME lift in my 100. I have the medium kit which is the 860 springs. Does anybody have a part number of which bag works with those springs? I called airlift and they said that i have to get inside diameter and measure length of spring with lift installed. Problem is I need to get lift done in one day and wont have the opportunity to get the truck back in the air and install bags at a later date. Spoke with slee and ordered a timbren kit to help the rear. They said they have had bad luck with air bags. Airlift said that the measurements are extremely important to keep bags from moving around and getting punctured just as Slee said. ( not saying by anymeans Slee doesn't measure!!!! ) I am concerned I will still get too much sag in the back with a dump trailer using the Timbren kit. Any feedback, ideas, recommendations part numbers etc. would be appreciated

I you tee your lines rather then run them individually you will loose less articulation.

I can't remember exactly but I don't think more than 1". The black discs are spacers which depending on your application you will/will not use. I don't think I have them on mine but I'll have to double check. The biggest thing is to make sure you make the hole large enough at the bottom for flex so the lines wont tear. I've offroaded with them at least 6 times at full flex both directions and never had a problem.

Good to bring need for a larger hole up again. Is was noted in post #3 but anymore people dont read the full thread.:bang:

I plan on adding a solenoid so i can run together or separate(there was a write up on that somewhere on here). Most of my heavy towing is relatively low speed so not too worried about sway. Does anybody have a lead on the airlift part number for airlift bags and OME 860s? TRDSPARKS do you have a lift in your 100?

Thanks for the post! just ordered a set from SDtrucks, $78. been needing them for a while, had a full load of hunting gear plus 3 retired military guys in the back. bottomed out a few times on the ride back from the cabin.

Call airlift, they can help. You'll need some dimensions between perches (top to bottom), inside diameter of coil, etc. They used to have a spreadsheet on their website that detailed this, but I can't find it anymore.

I just put in a rear set Airlift 1000. Also installed two new rear shocks (OEM Toyota). Pumped them up to 35 PSI and there rear was quite lifted as I suspected to achieve the desired result (no load on hitch) Then I bled the air off to 5 PSI, the rear still quite tall. I drove it around a bit to settle it in and it dropped some but is still lifted. It looks like the bags are bulging through the springs a bit. I assumed the set up would return to stock height but it did not. Any thoughts on this? I have 21.75 inches from center of hub vertical to fender with 5 PSI. 19 inches on the front measurement. I wouldn't think new shocks could add 1.75 inches to the rear (old shocks were an unknown after market brand)

My rig is fully stock, even the tire size. 1998 L/C no hydraulic suspension control like the Lexus.

Another question. When loading them is it best to put the hitch weight on an uninflated bag and pump to desired height? Or is it best to inflate to 35 PSI (max recommended in manual) to raise the truck, then load the tongue weight, and deflate to desired height?

the instructions say to keep the bags inflated to 5 psi and to check pressure weekly. How long do your bags stay inflated? I have mine to about 5 psi, but they won't stay inflated beyond a day.

Then you have a leak somewhere

and Bear Lake Cruiser - I disagree with their suggestion to preload to 35 psi.. I hitch up at 15 psi, and then I run with my camper at 25 psi (~200 lb tongue weight)
