thought i would tally up what i have into the turbo setup so far.
turbo- $25
manifold flange- 11 pack of beer:beer:

manifold tube- free

intercooler- free

full stainless exhaust kit- $150

doing alright i think:hillbilly:

Very thrifty..... I think Ryan might have you beat though. If I recall his last setup cost a cheeseburger. Still a valiant effort for a youngen, he has had many more years to perfect the cheapness. lol

Haha well the 11 pack went to Ryan.... Plus stainless exhaust.... Oooo shiney:flipoff2:

Nice, Another Stainless exhaust. Happy TIG'n!
No tig for me. Mig with stainless wire and argon. I'm currently waiting to start. I took all the old exhaust off before I realized I forgot the 2"-2.5" reducer in need to adapt the stock pipe. And that's where I need to start. Luckily lordco delivers cause it would be a loud parts run otherwise

Nice, Turbonics! Get Cam over there to TIG it up for ya', and ditch the muffler, straight-pipe it!
No turbo yet, just couldn't wait on the exhaust, my old muffler just split wide open. I was gonna go straight pipe when I do the turbo but that was mostly cause I didn't want to buy a muffler. But cause the turbo is still a couple months away I broke down and bought a little stainless dynomax.
Halfway done now, the mig works well just not quite as pretty.

7 hours later it's all done. Prett happy with the result, no rattles or anything. Although even with the flex joint it really moves a lot at idle. I kind of think that's a 3b thing at this point. I may try some stiffer rubber hangers or something. Anyway here's a couple crappy pics. It's beer time

Looks good. Don't make it too heavy, less metal is better is it is mounted right.

Nick, just head on over & get to work. Your wife won't mind you missing dinner on
mothers day! HaHa!

Way to go G. Exh looks great..... Just replace the muffler with a straight bit when you add a turbo and it'll whistle like crazy. Or be boring and leave it in. I just lover the sound of a straight piped turbo B.

I agree that less is more with a bumper. One can build it much lighter if it's designed well.

Well much cutting, drilling, welding, bending, hitting, cursing and drinking later.... I have a bumper. As far as wieght, I think I did pretty good. I can still easily install it by myself. Just waiting for my fairlead to show up, and I'll need some longer electrical cables.
