I am hearing this pop up a few different places as a nice grind for a 2F - do you have the specs for this @LAMBCRUSHER ?
I'd need to dig them up, but I will offer this: I feel the ramp speed is too fast for these old boat motors. I would recommend someone who wants to use these specs might consider having them cut onto a new billet, using a slower ramp. Grinding existing profiles tends to make for fast ramps, which I feel leads to float. Some float can be counteracted by using more robust springs, but only to a point. Mine, for example with 1.6 exhaust and 1.92 intakes and SBC springs and hardware is loud as heckle, and I would not use this setup again, myself. I will see If I can find the specs.

@PabloCruise I am using the KC859/262 duration speced in the table posted above.

A 262 degree (advertised) duration cam will wake your 2F up nicely and will happily pull to and beyond 5000 if the rest of the motor is matched to it.

I would not even consider a cam of lesser duration than stock, and I can't believe anyone would grind one.

Limiting yourself to 3000 is a bad idea. You are throwing away most of your power. Even the factory rated stock motors at 3600 for peak horsepower.

The Dualport is an Offenhauser manifold, not an Edelbrock. It is specifically for a four barrel carb. Not a particularly high flowing manifold (the C series is much better) but it lets you use a 4bbl and gain notable midrange and top end without low end losses.

Mark...
20 years late, but i have and have used bother the "C" and dual port Offenhauser intake with Holley 4 barrel carbs. The "DUALPORT" likes the Holley 390cfm carb and the "C" prefers the 465 cfm . The "C" works best with Holley Sniper fuel injection, but both work better throughout the rpm range than the stock with both carbs and Fiel Injection. Secret id to use a 1 inch spacer. Added plenum and works with the Holley linkage.

I’m building a pile of the parts needed to put a stock grind back into my overbuilt 2f. The larger valves (machinist used 1.60” instead of the 1.50” exhaust valves I spec’d), and the delta KC cam (can’t recall which rv grind) the vacuum has never been nominal, and the loudness- OH THE LOUDNESS- I gotta admit; fun sometimes, but not worth the side-effects IMO.
