Johnny, thank you for clarifying the purpose of the charitable donation. I agree with a regular brief financial statement to easily inform those concerned.
I also understand the difficult position of a BOD member and would like to commend you all on the successful progress and direction we as a group are heading.

Stan, I too would like to help with any repairs needed on the barn, I believe this will depend greatly on John Whitleys input and not much on our own ideas or opinions.

I believe that this is why our plans for the barn have stagnated since we've been trying to implement them. i.e. Kenny and Lydia and not the sole decision makers.

Freaking drama! I trust the BOD and their decisions. Its a 4x4 club not a Home owners association.

Amen! We elected them so let them do their job. And please remember this isn't a paid position they volunteered and did something in most cases nobody else wanted to do.

I'll lead the Barn improvement committee. I'll speak with interested members and get back to Allen about it. You need not concern yourself with it Johnny. That way you do not have to feel like I am picking on you every time I don't agree with you and express my feelings out loud. I say these things out loud to and about you Johnny, not the entire BOD. Stop including them when I question something you do or say.

I'm going to only say this once publicly as a current member of ONSC, as a major sponsor for ONSC events and as a current and past officer of UC that was as big or bigger than ONSC at one time. This kind of public display does zero good for the club. The drama has to stop. If a member has an issue with what the BOD is doing then I feel it's best kept in a PM, a text or even better yet a call to that person. This public display of strife with the BOD only looks bad to current and future members of the club. Learn from UC's mistakes and understand that we are a group of enthusiast that are based around a vehicle. We all are going to have different views on how things ought to be done. Public displays of issues with each other will not help the club and only force it apart. I'd suggest deleting all this crap and understand that issues with the BOD be kept behind the scenes and even better be discussed on the phone. There is no us against them or me against you. We all are ONSC and understand as adults with different views that we do what is right for the club and if we feel that the club is taking a wrong direction or we have an issue with an officer that we talk it out. And if you feel after all that you are not being represented then please run for office.

I just want to hang out, drink beer, have a family friendly club that can get along without the drama. I have had it with drama in my life. It's not worth it.

I think we all agree we don't want to see any bad come to the club.

That being said, this thread has been calm since Tuesday. Let's keep it that way.

After many discussions seems both sides are at an understanding at this point of "Attendees were told money would go to a charity." The Barn doesn't qualify as an Official charity. Therefore other discussions will be had about future Barn projects and funding.
