Looking for paint code 854 Smurf/sky blue for my 78' 40 resto, primarily for the floor/tub...Dash factory paint and doors look great and stock, want to match it up.

I have used Monstaliner on the exterior of an 80 and 60, but have no experience otherwise. Was happy with the result in black for the most part, would rate it a B+...Everything Magnet said it would be.

What is the easiest way to get it to match? They have "smurfadelic" that looks a hint darker, more like the blue from the 80's 40s imo. They also have one where I get the local place to tint and add to Monstaliner base.

Any help or recommendations? What about painting over black with ACE rust product? Open to spraying but had roll on in mind.

Ive also heard that you go Raptor if you are spraying, Monstaliner for rolling...Anyone tried Smurfblue in Line-x, Duraback, etc?

All info/pic/advice welcomed.

U-POL Raptor Liner comes in tintable kits and will give you a very nice match to your existing color. The 4 Qt kit comes with a shutz gun and all you do is add the activator, base tint (from your local jobber), shake, and spray. Why roll when you can get a superior finish by spraying?

It also has a great texture to it; not too smooth, not too rough.

I am currently looking tight now at which to order. I would like a close match to 464 beige if. It a direct. There is a picture of. Jeep in their other thread with a beige monsta shade. I do not k ow which color that is yet. Maybe magnetman will post up!

If you want a match to 464 beige, than all you have to do is buy the UPOL kit and add the 464 tint. For light colors like beige, I recommend addiing slightly more tint than the 10% they recommend.
