Im really having a hard time wrapping my head around you getting 14 mpg. Im not saying you aren't, but I just can't see it especially at your altitude. Is this corrected numbers? If it is true, then you give me great hope for my future... I'm running 37s & 4:10s getting 11mpg on open roads. My rpm mostly is 2500rpm.

I average between 13.4-14.2 ;) maybe you need 40s

Geez... maybe I need to look at my injection system. 40s sound great but need to stay smart... its my DD & not ready to gut the Lx cladding.
I'm counting at least 6 dark green 80s on 40s now...

Just a cool random pick my dad took

Yes, that is on my short list of things to do. I actually managed to smash the part the goes under the frame on steel bender. I have not decided on a exhaust shop yet, honestly haven't really looked around. If you find a good one let me know. When it gets done, I'll do a new y pipe (currently rub with the 40s when stuffed and turned) single cat, all the pipes run over the frame, and smaller muffler. Hopefully with that I might get even better mpg, and be a whole lot less likely to smash it up.
Ill get you some pics of mine tomorrow. Andrew and I have it done the same way and gets it wayyyyy out of the way.

Also totally thought I was subbed.. looks bad ass dude! :bounce:

pretty incredible work hombre!

Looks good dude! I have to cut mine up too, probably going to leave the stock blinkers but may not have a choice after I move my axle forward with the 3 link..

Where did you get that shifted extension? And easy swap? Post a link if you can.

I have been throwing around the idea of a 3 link for a few months now. Almost want to sell off my axles, get some dana 60s and do some custom 3 and 4 link stuff. Are you keeping the stock front axle? Also are you having a shop do a total custom setup, or getting a kit from Ruffstuff or something and just have them put it together?

It'll be custom but im sure they'll use some ruffstuff brackets or something. And yeah.. I thought about putting a 60 under the front but Andrew hasn't broke anything in 4 years so I figured it was probably fine. Only thing you need to upgrade is to chromo shafts/birfields (I went with RCV) and gears. Mine will also be trussed. I know I'd end up linking it so I thought I should just do that from the start haha

Yeah sounds good. I don't remember if I mentioned it in my earlier posts, but I went with some TG Long fields. If you haven't bought a truss yet, I would recommend one from Ballistic fab. Not only the cheapest but also the thickest steel I could find. Fits our 80 axles pretty well too. Only minor cutting needed.

I got one just like that but from somewhere else. Can't remember. But it is 3/16" thick as well. My upper link mount will somehow be incorporated into that

Saran Wrap and Eagle Rock Trip with @Andrew Bluemel. Got to winch a jeep stuck on both his diffs, and managed to wreck the non existent t-case skid plate. Somehow bent both rear lower control arms too :bang:

Really fun day. Here are a couple of my pics I got from the day. You made everything look easy with those 40s
