I have been really tired of how far that TG winch plate sticks out.
I have the same TG plate & agree it sticks oUT to far. Infact I took mine off. When I actually do get a winch I will figure out if I'm going to cut it down or do what you did. I am completely amazed you got that which tucked in there all cozy like that, I'm sure the body lift helped.

Found some more pics others took from the Chinaman run. If anyone knows the area, this was me doing the "rock pile"

Rock Therapy!! I had a blast and met a ton of awesome people. Did Hells Revenge, Posen Spider, Golden Spike, and others I'm sure I'll remember later. Was playing in the dunes and broke my rear swing down, so that was nice. I'm Going to be working with DOSECC Fabrication | DOSECC Fabrication to build a total custom rear bumper in the next few weeks. Really great group of guys, and some insane fab skills.

Okay to the pics.....

Golden Spike ended up being the craziest trail of the trip....for stuff going wrong at least. My truck survived the bad luck, but we had 1 Flat, 1 broke diff, sheered lower balljoint bolts, rolled over jeep we recovered, ended up being a 14hr day. Had to go back in the morning to save this 4runner because we needed lots o parts from town. Think for the five days I was in Moab, I winched 17 people up stuff. Think 8 Friday, 7 Saturday. I did get free dinner Friday, so that was a bonus.

This is the delima with running big tires... what to do with the freaking spare??? No matter where you put it, in, out or top it's a big pain.

Yes it is! Frankly I don't mind that it broke. It was kind of driving me nuts that it was such a pain to get in my tailgate. For the time it'll just be in the back of my truck.

That's why I'm pretty excited to be designing a ultra clearance dual swing rear bumper with Dosecc fab. I think we are going to be cutting the bottom of the quarter panel off to under the taillights. Then tubing it because the floor sits lower than I'll be cutting.

I to never built my tire swing out even though I bought all the hardware to do so. It's hard to get it right it will either be dragging on the ground or up so high you can't see out the back & need help getting it on & off not to mention a ton of Stel to make it safe. I have not seen a spindle big enough to safely hold a 40" tire. Look up tire carriers failure on the net to see what I mean.
PS keep the wheeling piks coming.
Love to hit the trails with you guys if you would like another 80 in the mix.
Rock On

Any time you are ever in CO, let one of us know! I'd love to see your rig in person.

Yes hence Dosecc Fab, There actually pros, so it'll turn out good. They are talking about using two of these new mega spindles they have. I don't care to see outa the back so that doesn't matter to me. We were thinking have it swing down also so I could replace a tire solo if needed.

You're a wild man! When's it go to Utah?
