I have the same TG plate & agree it sticks oUT to far. Infact I took mine off. When I actually do get a winch I will figure out if I'm going to cut it down or do what you did. I am completely amazed you got that which tucked in there all cozy like that, I'm sure the body lift helped.I have been really tired of how far that TG winch plate sticks out.

This is the delima with running big tires... what to do with the freaking spare??? No matter where you put it, in, out or top it's a big pain.

Yes hence Dosecc Fab, There actually pros, so it'll turn out good. They are talking about using two of these new mega spindles they have. I don't care to see outa the back so that doesn't matter to me. We were thinking have it swing down also so I could replace a tire solo if needed.I to never built my tire swing out even though I bought all the hardware to do so. It's hard to get it right it will either be dragging on the ground or up so high you can't see out the back & need help getting it on & off not to mention a ton of Stel to make it safe. I have not seen a spindle big enough to safely hold a 40" tire. Look up tire carriers failure on the net to see what I mean.
PS keep the wheeling piks coming.
