I played in a ska/ punk band or a couple years, its was a tough gig, basically lost money the whole time but part of me misses it for sure
fun as fuuk, did lots of sublime and nofx covers amoung others
nothin like makin the crowd just bounce with what your doin on stage

I saw Sublime with like 50 other people in Jackson Hole, Wyoming of all places. IIRC it was 1996.

Geez we really are derailing the build thread now! 😂🤙

Cheers

Man, I played in a few death metal/metalcore bands....... I also played trombone in highschool and have always REALLY wanted to play some brass in a ska band.

I did appear for 2 seconds in a ska music video though chugging beer!

It was damn near impossible to get brass that was into ska stuff, sounds sooo cool tho really adds a new dimension and vibe

sorry bout the derail!

Mid/late 90s I moved to west palm beach Florida after 1 year of college, found a couple of kids playing brass that wanted to do a ska band. I play guitar but ways pretty green at that point.

It was fun as hell and sounded so good even if I was just hammering upstrokes. Couldn’t find a drummer and I couldn’t afford a drum set…so then I moved back to colorado in less than a year.

Joined a rock/blues band and just hit bars and the occasional wedding (so punk) Most I ever made was $5,200 for the year….rockstar  Got bored with the covers and just play at home now…

We need a mud band…

No derail, not even really a build. So no worries from me. but >

Ska Sucks, Love Propagandhi

Love how it's done tongue-cheek in a ska riff. Every ska band seems to have covered this song. Dig me some old Propagandhi.

i had to buy my younger bro a drum set and draft him into the band 😆

I was trying to think of them all day and I just remembered.

Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Voodoo Glow Skulls and Suicide Machines. Those were my go to ska bands in the 90’s, snowboarder buddies got me listening to ska.

Cheers

Hope all you cats are wrenching to some old tunes tonight. Still feels so right.

This thread made me fire up some I hadn’t listened to in 20yrs today! Whats rad is I still know all the lyrics!

Cheers

Oh. Cruiser update. More minor stuff done the last couple weeks.

Eliminated the spacers by swapping the Bradley's that came on the 77 over to the daily driven 73. Test fit >

Then an ARB happen. Thought I'd snap a bumper bolt or twelve. Soaked everything for a week leading up. No issues. Prepped and painted the area. >

Boom. Instant expo ARB guy at the neighborhood pub. >

The ARB turn signals suck IMHO and are obviously 12v. Swapped the bulbs with 24v for now... add updating them for something sealed and useful to the list. Used these cheapy Amazon bulbs >

Had seen @2fpower 's cubby build and decided that would really tie the room together for me. Wanted to fit two Front Runner Flat packs that I use between both rigs. Built these >

Used Rivnuts and AL angle to secure the cubby to the drawers.

How is the fit on the rear mat?
Rear mat is for my wagon. Fits the 77 series well. The 73 is shorter there I believe. That said... I have an older/worn one that came with the wagon. I may trim to fit the 73. I'll snap pictures before/after.
