The manual black mirrors are way better than the chrome electric ones.
It would be interesting to see how many 55 guys came over to the 70s side. They are visually very similar. 55s had to be Toyotas 70 series design cue right?

I know a few, @Guyute @RHINO @Kaderabek (for a little while) I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting.

If the 70 series only got the cool 55 series tailgate with the rolldown window but that is just another thing to break. Sometimes less is more.

Seems like a natural escalation to the sickness. Love a full bodied wagon... miss a tailgate.

wow i had no idea this sticker existed,,,,, been a rollins fan since back in the day when i used to skate at JFA's place in Phx. they had a HUGE halfpipe and ALOT of the whos who in the skate and music scene would drop in to visit, party, skate you name it, live music every w/e was the norm, never knew who i was gonna meet.

I saw Black Flag at the 930 club in DC and that was never yesterday. They didn't have a place to stay that night and asked if anybody in the audience had a sofa they could crash on.

Good memories at the 930 Club in DC during my 4 years at college in Foggy Bottom.....

My guy! JFA still killin it! Saw them 6 or 7 years ago at Punk Rock Bowling and think they were there again this year!

Similar stories. Late 80’s. Grew up in a little ski town that turned into a big snowboard/skate town during summers thanks to Palmer Glacier. Ride snow pipes until noon then skate a mini ramp all night. Parties before I should be at parties. Salty punks. Ski bums. Pray For Snow bonfires. Product of that environment for sure.

Not sure you’ll find the sticker anywhere. NOS. Mitch Clem made them several years ago.

You guys really reminded me of my youth here. I saw NoFx when I was 15 and DRI when I was 14. Was a skater and moved to a ski town in the mid 1990’s and spent the next ten years snowboarding 100+ days a year.

🤙

Cheers

Hell yes! Count you in for the Vegas PRB meetup then! Fat Mike opened the Punk Rock Museum there in April. He's often there doing tours and generally being a d1ck.

Same. First jobs were ski resorts on Mt. Hood so I had a pass. First year working and riding Timberline we weren't allowed on the lifts. Hike, build a jump, hike.

You know this song?

I lived with Jennifer who they wrote that song about. First ban I ever saw in a bar was NoFx, I was 18 but bs’ed my way in, only minor in the whole bar. There was only about 50 of us though! Local punk band played at my 18th too, 2 Minutes Hate. Holy crap that was a big party!!

I remember Burnside in PDX when they were first building it and the bums would take a crap in the bowl. You had to get the 💩 out before you could skate it! 😂🤙

Thems were the days....

Cheers

Ah yes! I'm familiar with the song and Burnside. Still there just mega apartments on both sides and more bum sh1t now.

You guys might appreciate my office bobblehead collection. Fat Mike, Milo, HR, Jello, Mojo and friends.

I played in a ska/ punk band or a couple years, its was a tough gig, basically lost money the whole time but part of me misses it for sure
fun as fuuk, did lots of sublime and nofx covers amoung others
nothin like makin the crowd just bounce with what your doin on stage

Man A LOT of that music sure was controversial in the 80’s. DK’s Holiday in Cambodia for example.

I think The Clash first got me going down the punk road. Soon after it was the Sex Pistols and The Exploited. I still rock a lot of it, love me some Melvins for example.

The 80’s and 90’s was an awesome time to grow up.

Cheers
