Too bad it doesn’t fit the group 27 battery!…need just a hair more width.

Delays with the house have been keeping me from getting my cruiser running. I had a major basement flooding after a full reno…can you say irony? Then I had another flooding due to another unrelated issue so I’ve put the cruiser on the back burner trying to figure out multiple issues with groundwater entering my basement. Lots of money. Lots of digging. Lots of troubleshooting. Lots of money. And still no answer. Oops. Got carried away with life. My bad.

Anyway. Onto the cruiser. I finally got her running after picking her up from AZ at Kelly’s.

I have a few issues to sort through, but she seems to run pretty good. I don’t know if it’s my imagination because it’s been such a long time since I drove her, but it seems like she has a lot more pep in her step. It could be the new short block and refreshed top end and the new 4.88s. Or it could be in my head. I know all those things make a difference. Either way she is a blast to drive and I think she looks great with clear windows.

She’s dirty, but the paint looks great. I’ll need to get her washed and cleaned up, then finish building her up and installing her armor now. Hoping to get after that tomorrow!

You lic plate might confuse some into thinking you’re a math wiz! (Appreciate the DM - I’ll def be giving you a buzz sometime soon)

I bought an X2 last year in group 31. Weighs something like 75 pounds. They are made by the company that bought North Star iirc. Good choice Cruiser brother….

What springs are you running on that newly painted beauty?

Paint looking killer.

Neat you found clear glass... but man, i always feel like i am driving around in a fishbowl whenever there's no tint. Us desert dwellers like to hide from the sun every chance we get.
I keep my cruiser inside my bedroom with me, so UV rays aren’t a problem.

Personally, I like the bronze tinted glass from the factory and I don’t mind that the front two windows don’t match. The bronze tint reminds me of the iridescent canopies of our F-22s; which are simply badass.
I jumped on the clear glass because I scratched my OG glass when I stupidly used 3M green pad trying to remove pits and watermarks. Never knew it would scratch and haze the glass.

That’s right. North Star = Odyssey. Same, same. I’m running HD 75mm Slinky’s. I threw the new front bumper with 12.5k winch on and it barely moved.

You nailed it!! That’s exactly what I was going for. Being a math wiz is what I’m known for. 3/8 is bigger than 1/2 right? 🤣

No worries brother, hope you’re well. Hit me up anytime. You can hit me up and I’ll gladly discuss my experience.

Baby got new shoes finally:

Couple of observations:

1. 37s are ****ing heavy.
2. They look ****ing rad
3. They’re heavy as ****
4. They look rad
5. My truck drive like it’s riding on roads made of jello
6. 37s are ****ing heavy
7. I should’ve gone 40s

The Advanced Trig professor has spoken..... FZJ80 = F22

My 80 has to sleep outside like a hobo

I never knew green 3M would have hardness > glass either! Or did it just scratch the bronze tint?

It scratched everything. Including my windshield. It left a haze/micro scratches. I am strong af though. Especially my right forearm. Ahem.

Stop it! I'm trying to work here.

I admit, it's hard. My wife vetoed the idea of a used Peterbilt with some ramps and a deck over the hitch. Something to do with "no where to f***ing park all of my s***"
Wives...can't live with 'em. Can't kill 'em. What's a mother to do?

This thread has completey destroyed my ability to produce any reasonably acceptable work today. Thank you. ;)

BTW, have you tried cerium oxide to remove scratches? I bought a pound years aog, when my wife put RainX wipers on her minivan (relax, after that I convinced her to sell it - now she has a GX460), but never got around to using it. I figured I'd rather screw up the Previa windshield worse than try it out on my 80s. I'm trying to find a good test piece to work on. I have a starfield pattern on my OEM glass.

This video is phenomenal. I’ve never used any cerium oxide, no. I have tried other glass polishing methods purchased off Amazon or flea-bay.

Besides, I went ****ing ham with the 3M pad and polish I used. So the scratches were on EVERY. SINGLE. SQUARE. INCH. edge to edge.

At the end of my three or so hours of labor I was so proud of myself.

I wiped everything off thinking how proud I was of myself to get my windows so clean. How clear everything was going to be. All those pesky water spots gone. Calcium deposits? Bye!

And then I just said. What the fück?!?!? I’ll try to fix it. Hahahahah time to get clear windows I guess. And here we are.
