I think you have more LC parts hoarded than most LC shops!

Seriously. That is an impressive stash.I think you have more LC parts hoarded than most LC shops!
I am brother. I got here in mid-Aug. Been busy doing my career skills translation internship stuff and basically cleaning. I bought this house a year ago. My in laws live here. It’s a big spilt floor plan with mother in law suite and whatnot. But these bastards are hoarders. I have made 22 trips to the dump and I’m not even close to being done.Your in Tennessee now? I'm currently TDY in Georgia.
That’s representing about 69% of my stuff. There is so much more.I think you have more LC parts hoarded than most LC shops!
I use to be a pro at drunken purchases.I know you guys can identify with this, maybe not exactly in the same way but close. I got to this house and I had about 15 unopened boxes of Toyota parts. I have yet to open some still.
I had no forking clue what I ordered. As I began opening these boxes I began having hazy recollections of several drunken nights where I got it into my head that these parts will not be around if I don’t order them RIGHT NOW.
So I have hood insulators x2, dash insulators, headers, shît I don’t even know what it’s called, gaskets to who knows what, seal kits for who gives a f***, head gaskets kits, and more.
Whatever. Yolo. This is my truth.
@FMC80 I see you are in Jonesborough…I am a mere 15-20 minutes away in Greeneville. I’m slowly converting the Jeepers to LC enthusiasts down here. You should come join the insurgency.Maybe if you get some time, get in contact with @FJ Noob. He's in Tennessee and a good guy to know.
So important. I am so glad you are investing in your truck like this. The overwhelming data we have available clearly shows a massive difference in operating temps with red water vs. green water.@Bludozer you should see the cases of Toyota Red I have stashed. When the world runs out of the green and yellow stuff, I’m gonna be rich!
I’m down to link up. I have to find some white space and get my 2-tone 97 full up to sell it. I’m always down to join insurgencies.@FMC80 I see you are in Jonesborough…I am a mere 15-20 minutes away in Greeneville. I’m slowly converting the Jeepers to LC enthusiasts down here. I love you.So important. I am so glad you are investing in your truck like this. The overwhelming data we have available clearly shows a massive difference in operating temps with red water vs. green water.
Come over and stay awhile. I’m still learning these parts but there is plenty around here to get into trouble!Glad to see an update from you Pell. It looks like you have lots of fenced in area to "safely" stumble around in once the drug taking does start. I keep hearing good things about Tennessee, maybe I can drag my behind over there sometime. I want to try and get out to one of the "big" cruiser events in 2023. I just went through a really fun journey sourcing one of the '93-94 lower dash bezels. The need for parts hoarding is real.
I'm sorry for your loss.Hey guys. I need a little help, I’m pretty sure I blew the HG last night while taking my kids trick or treating. @BILT4ME @baldilocks @OGBeno @Feldrian
Here’s what happened:
- On freeway traveling about 75mph, drove to off-ramp and sat at the stop light. Noticed rough idle.
- rough idle and rough acceleration through stop light and I pulled over
- coolant temperature remained at 183 a rising to my Koso gauge and my engine temp never moved from the middle
- pulled over and smelled coolant burning
- lots of white smoke out the exhaust
- overflow is full
- radiator is not refilling
- oil dipstick is sludgy and full
- engine will not turn over. Sounds like it is “locked”
- I checked #6 spark plug. Smelled like fuel and it looked wet.
- ran diagnostics. Have code 26 for rich air/fuel ratio
- noticed coolant spilling out of bottom right rad hose (as viewed from rear of engine)
- no sludge under oil cap- not that this is definitive
She won’t crank, so I can’t start her up to do the combustion test.
I can send in the oil for analysis but I already know it’s a head gasket (I think).
If it is a head gasket, why do you guys think my engine won’t crank at all?
I had no overtemp conditions.

Any insight from the you guys is appreciated. Yes, I am concurrently on the search for the gagillion threads about HG.
Thanks, @BILT4ME. I just Pm'd you...I will start there.I'm sorry for your loss.
It won't crank over because the cylinder is hydrolocked and filled with coolant.
You need to pull ALL your spark plugs, then turn it over and see which cylinder is full of coolant.
The milkiness of the oil, the fact that it won't turn over, and the white smoke out the exhaust, all point to HG.
Pull the plugs and see if coolant blows out of a hole. Then do a compression test on that cylinder to determine issue.
Will it crank if you pull all the plugs?
I'd suspect water/coolant in the combustion chamber this preventing it from cranking.
