That feeling. I finally got the harnesses all plugged in. Let’s turn the key to see what happens. Only to realize you put the fuel return line on the wrong place.

Any particular ECM mount that people found pretty helpful. I have my charcoal canister removed, so I plan on putting fuse box and computer in that area.

That’s exactly where mine is. ABS was long gone too. I made a mount out of 1” angle iron. I’ll take a pic later.

Anyone have any tips on removing this fitting from the fuel pressure line? Mine begins to loosen then tighten up again? Trying to work on my fuel system for the swap.

Probably late on this. But mine acted the same way the entire length of the threads. Just make sure you’re using decent quality flare nut wrenches on both ends. I used lengths of pipe over the wrenches to get the leverage. The space doesn’t give a lot of angle so this process was slow and I was always worried the threads would strip. They never did, but they did get very warm. I also used liquid wrench every so often.

Maybe there was a smarter way, but that’s how I did it.

thanks, it was the flare jamming up on the threads, just needed to keep working it side to side, it wouldn't just thread off.

Sorry for the stupid question. But the fuel return line is actually on the far right of this pic correct? I think I saw another note about a 6AN barb fitting to connect these. I originally connected my return line to the left side...pretty sure that is the vapor line...correct?
It’s the black pipe right in the center of my pic with the Earls banjo fitting.

L

wait. The line with banjo on it is the return? The feed is on the left then?
No, the feed is the banjo fitting, the return is right beside it. A smaller black pipe with that a hose just hooks to with a clamp.

Thank you that is what I thought. I tried to out the braided fuel line over it and clamp it but that didn’t work. So I guess I need to get a barb fitting and out a short rubber hose on it to connect with the braided line.

I am about to order a Ron Davis radiator which has the option for a transmission cooler included in the radiator. My question, is the stock toyota cooler enough for a 6l80 behind a 6.0 or do I need the cooler in the radiator also?

The point of running through the radiator is not really as “cooler” It gets the fluid up to temp.

Hey guys Im looking into LS swapping my 1995 Land cruiser and this will be my first engine swap, is there a thread on this forum that specifically talks about LS swaps with the 80 series?
@ARJMN has a decent thread on his thread.

I was late to the game on the 2UZ and power train swap fan club but with two SLEE 2UZ conversions in the family my only comment would be “ pure ecstasy “ ! The feel the throttle response the high rpm torque …. It’s simply amazing !
