… I trimmed the mount to fit the a/c compressor. Took roughly 3” out
Thanks for sharing this. It didn't occur to me that that the a/c compressor would contact the passenger side frame horn when using truck accessories and TheLandCruiserShop mounts. My LM4 is still on the engine stand being prepped for the install. I suppose I would have figured it out soon enough.

What made you decide to cut and weld the frame mount vs relocating (high mount) the A/C compressor?

Simplicity. Everything else sat perfect. That was the only spot where there was interference. I installed/test fit the motor 4 times

Nice work Josh. I have some other projects in mind as well as my 97 LC conversion to LS. I'm overseas looking in and part of the dream is to install a 2 post lift in my shop. Other part is a Dustless Blaster DB150 or DB500 and start a business cleaning frames and cars. TMI, question is doing an install into the frame and attaching the body later. Do you think the new LS mounts you found will allow the install without needing to massage the body when mating the body to the frame? Bashing some sheet metal isn't huge, just trying to get an overall idea. Chomping at the bit to get going on this and stop the dreaming. Little bit at a time. Maybe this has been covered earlier in the thread but it's been awhile since starting from the front. Maybe time to refresh. Thanks. More info not needed but some backfill. My property is in Idaho but before starting my overseas work years ago I worked in Salt Lake City. The Land Cruiser Museum is like hundreds of feet from my old office there. Something I find cool but can't imagine anyone else does. Bored ramblings, my bad.

Mounts worked out perfect. In my 96, I did not have to massage/bent/beat/adjust the firewall. I will be on vacation for a bit, but will get some pics when i get back. There’s about an 1 1/2” gap if I remember correctly.

Thank you. Forgot to mention I'm thinking about a 1" body lift and 3"+- on the springs. Not sure what oil pan I'll wind up with, go with what others have found to fit. I like your heat wrap idea, keep things cool.

I’m on a 3”lift only and had no issues. Oil pan kit I used worked perfectly. I bought 1 and the pick up tube was too short, China one. I sent it back and got the one in this picture, works perfectly.

Anyone know which wire feeds power to fuel pump?
Or should I provide power somewhere else for the fuel pump
