Really like to keep the white upper to cut down on some of the heat.

Interior colors are tan and brown. Wonder how hot tan would be on top, with brown on bottom, or am I going about this all wrong?

Or keep white and be done?

White may not be a perfect match and reasoning for considering other options.

I'm not feeling the black insert either. I think white/tan combo looks good. If it were mine, I'd black out the chrome grill so it wont clash with the bumper.

So much for chroming the bumper and slider idea, then. Hahaha.

Brown, like interior, insert, or no insert at all?

Would it look any better, in y'alls opinion to lower liner to the OEish plastic crap line?

Any suggestions on how to do the handles?

You just finished yours, jcardona.

Any suggestions on how to do the handles?

I haven't even started mine, still working on the head gasket. Paint will be next! I think it looks better without any insert color. And I like the line you've chosen along the body crease, flows well.

I'm in the same boat about the bumpers right now. My wheels are black, I want to paint them silver to match front and rear bumpers. Not touching the sliders though. So my final color will be Sans Panties with silver armor and wheels, unless your photoChops convince me to go 2-tone :)

Sans Panties

Something about that name that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Got confused, but recalled after that you were on the liner quest, too.

No insert at all, huh?

I am biased but do the upper body line. If you are going to be wheeling it hard, I wouldn't go with a custom color....

Planned a wheeler, otherwise I'd pony up for OE paint. If the welds didn't look like chit, might've painted anyway, but no covering them now.

MonsterLiner's "White" probably makes the most sense, but it's noticeably different, so have to tear doors apart, again, and deal with handles.

Handles are fine, just tape around them, it will be ok. ;)

I like the white if it doesn't stain.

Starting to sound a little pansy assed, huh? Hahaha.

According to magnetman, white's durable and won't yellow. Not sure about staining.

The only local wheeling stains the paint, but it's unsanctioned, so I don't frequent anyway.

You should do a traditional FJ55 color scheme, you already have the white just need to figure out the accent color.

Kind of what I was going for, though unintentional.

Saw earlier when pulling pics of 80 wings off FB, and the lines are similar.

Pretty much, it's tan or brown on bottom, in keeping with existing.

Why this isn't done is variety and variations of choices.
